Like with Ubisoft Connect, I don't understand why did we need a special forum for AC Valhalla. I am a practical person and I don't really get unnecessary changes.

Okay, I think I found the right place for this.

So, what's up with the hypersensitive censorship in the forum?

I was typing the word s.e.x in a conversation and even that was censored. I get wanting to flag off curse words but that is not a curse word.

Really, what we need, and what most modern forums have, is an option to allow adult language in your settings.

It's so hard to see where you have to look for things.

This gane has more bugs and broken mechanics than I have ever seen in a released game, I have never seen anying like in 20 years of gaming. Shame on you.

When replying to a person it also posts that reply as a general reply. Also, sorting by "recent" does not sort by recent.

I think the added features for mobile seem pretty great. Following threads, getting notifications about comments and updates are great. After using it for a couple weeks i can see this is a notable improvement in many areas. I use this exclusively on mobile and think the mew setup, with time, will be so much better than the old system. Already enjoying some of the extra features i have access to.

Is it possible it fix the "remind me" button for this forum?
Every time i start this forum, i need to log in. Even when i have clicked the button of "remember me".

Would love to hear from you all.

It could be connected to Ubisoft Connect so you can get live notifications on replies and also we need more admin and representatives responding faster. A glitch was reported that I have come across on November 17th and has had 1 reply and then it was left. Now 6 days later and it's still not fixed. Also please change the reply system where if you hover or hold over an icon in the message tools, so we can tell what it is because I have no clue what I am pressing.

It looks a lot more messy and less organised. Not a fan.

There are several things I don't like about the new forums.

1 - The idle time seems to be a lot shorter than the old forums. Meaning that if I don't click on something or post, I have to log in again after a very short (five or ten minutes?) time. This is a forum, not a bank, the login should not expire so quickly.

2 - Is the forum linear or is it threaded? It seems to be trying to be both. The posts are show with "replies" under them, so you can click and see the replies. However, the replies are also show in the whole thread, making for immense confusion for trying to follow replies or conversations. Please decide if you want this to be linear or threaded. There is a difference in readablity. I prefer threaded in this case.

3 - Infinite scrolling of topics is annoying to me. Please paginate the main topics.

My usage experience in Firefox is horrible. Even making this post is horrible.

If I load the forum, I can click on a topic. But there it all ends.
I go back to the overview with the topics, wanting to click a other topic, it's the first topic that i all ready have read. Why? I do not know.

Also opening a topic, shows me the newest post in that topic. I have not even read the first post, where i really want to start reading. And that is very annoying.

The layout is not good, there is hardly a difference between topics, and that is also not a good thing.
Icons are why to big, for the "Flag", "Not watching", the "Likes", make that small. It is bigger then the text that is in the post......

Even the older forum looks better then this "future" lay out thing.

Also, if i wanted to reply in a topic, it creates this window in screen.
Then I will browse some more, go back to this forum, and in my screen is the window for the post. Why, i closed it, and I don't want that screen overlapping al the topics...

also if I want to select a text, it does not even select the text I trying to select.
It's some random text way above the text i try to highlight.

Hope you have some use for this feedback, cause this forum needs more work.

Repro steps:

The exact same thing sometimes happens when using the start menu on top of the page.

Note that in both occurrences, the browser does _not_ have the focus, so should never react on those keystrokes

While creating a different topic for a different bug found on the forum, I wanted to include a partial screenshot.
So I used Snip & Sketch to capture part of my screen, pasted it in my forum message. (pasted as in Ctrl + v)
The UI seemed to accept that without any issue, as I could see the image displayed correctly in the message.
When hitting "Submit", I got greeted by the error message in the title : "Error : error"
In the end, removing the image fixed the error, and I was able to publish my message.

On the new forum, I can see two posts in the list at a time on the forum index. On the old forum, I can see ten posts at a time.

Please let us turn off the post previews. They not only make scrolling through posts to find an interesting looking one to read inefficient, they reveal the contents of the post and expose spoilers on the front page: without purposefully opening and reading the post.

A “spoiler” tag is nice (I noticed that least one writer had the curtesy to use one), but it isn’t useful when the contents of the post are displayed immediately underneath the tag on the front page.

It's been a few weeks, so I just wanted to provide a bit of feedback on the new forums.

Here's my take so far:

Positives-
Spam seems to be filtered out a lot more effectively

Sorting and watching features are a lot more intuitive

Navigation makes sense, though it does take some time to get used to



Negatives-

Threads listed take up way too much space, 2 or three times as much as the old forums, meaning that you can see less threads at a time. Maybe this is for accessibility, otherwise I definitely prefer the old layout.

While the ability to directly reply to someone is nice, the way that it's laid out (with a Reply below the post, as well as its own post later) is confusing and kind of redundant.

Still not sure how to note spoiler content. Also, I don't see a spoiler subforum yet.
