Hello Ubisoft/R6, due to my inability to get better Wi-Fi through Verizon, ((they do not sell fios in my state) I've had the same spotty Wi-Fi since I got the PS4 in 2014)). I lag out of games regularly, and I cannot rejoin them. I've been told by other players that you can rejoin a match that you have lagged out of, however, this has never been the case for me. Furthermore, I was playing rainbow multiplayer unranked yesterday (10/31/21) and I lagged out due to my bad Wi-Fi connection. And I received an hour suspension and a renown penalty. This is absurd and is out of my control, I think this system should be tweaked to the individual type of match abandonment. If it is due to the ping rate spiking, and then the loss of your connection rather than actively leaving the match. As it is out of the user's control if their bandwidth etc. cannot handle the service. I feel that although this is a decent idea to stop players who leave unnecessarily and ruin the game, it is not an adequate way to help players enjoy it. As some players have outside reasons that they may need to leave a match, for the younger users a bedtime, and for college students like myself also a bedtime.
This feature restricts those who don't want to play with toxic users and want to leave the situation rather than deal with it. As well as those who have connection issues and want to restart their system and or router to troubleshoot the issue. They either have to deal with the toxicity, and or just glitch and lag, or get suspended for a lengthy amount of time and receive a renown penalty.
This feature's flaws ruin the game in my opinion as a veteran siege player. I've had to restart my system to “fix” the game, as my Wi-Fi won't always load the game's services right away. Sometimes I have to leave my matches with my friends because I'm glitching lagging and unable to play and enjoy the game to its fullest capacity. This is sad, but it's the reality that most users I know have to live with. For myself in particular, if I have another device connected to my Wi-Fi while using my PlayStation (whether it's my device or family members) my game freezes lags, and overall won't load. I have to restart my system after shutting off the Wi-Fi on each device and restarting my router and console. Only then will my games run properly. Meaning, sometimes I have to abandon a match.
I never play ranked because my bandwidth cannot handle it for some odd reason. I still don't know how much of a difference there is technologically between unranked and ranked, but I've never been able to stay in a ranked match for more than two minutes before being kicked due to poor connection. Yet, unranked tends to work well enough to play, which makes no sense to me. I lag out regularly in general, more so on my PS4 than my pc.
My point in this is that I was in my opinion unfairly suspended at no fault of my own and think that this feature needs to be upgraded to a better and more consumer-friendly standing or entirely reconstructed. I've been struggling with this same issue since this feature came out, and I was so busy with the new things happening in my life that I never reached out to support. I hope you take this is matter seriously and that I've helped give perspective on this because something must change. Furthermore, I also think a worthwhile feature would be a history of disciplinary actions against one's account available to view and dispute would be a worthwhile feature to add, as most services provide such a history for their consumers. My PSN is ladybloodoath, which is linked to both of my Ubisoft accounts. (from my console and pc)
I appreciate you taking the time to read my inquiry and look forward to a response,
