I just installed Anno 1701 History edition on my second PC, i downloaded the game through Ubi cloud and started it. The game needed 2 more steps : 1st : install DirectX and one more. And at the second step before the installation finish , a new tab appearing saying : Locate gme folder or close, i verified the files countless times, i reinstalled the game 3 times and still i have the same problem even tho i locate the right folder and files are verified, whats going on with this problem?

For a long time I have problems to get missions to get the achievements related to it. I have spent sometimes several weeks on the same game in the hope to get these quests and I did meet the requirements to get the quests but nothing makes it. Is there a solution to get these quests?

Hi there, I've just bought the anno 1701, I have the required config (wind 10, 64 bit, I7, Nvidia graphic card etc) but there is more than half an hour the game finished the installation and I'm still on the launch page... waiting... did someone has the same problem ? any solution ?

Im playing anno 1404 history edition with a friend, and we where about 29hours in the match without any problems. Then one day when we wanted to continue the match he couldnt join my invite. When he clicks on the invitation the "connecting" appears ,but even after a long wait he cant enter the lobby. We tried with lan connection and online all the same. Even tried connecting over ubisoft connect instead of steam.
Any advice?

I have download anno 1701 with only the spanish lenguage pack but the character's voices and the storyteller voice in campaign are in english. It is strange because all the other voices are in spanish.

like title, when I try to load my Multiplayer game campaign with a friend, we get stuck in some kind of loading menu, where It says something like: the game already started.
We can easily start a new multiplayer game and play without any problems, but as soon as we try to load an already played game, we get stuck.
Has anyone else this kind of problem?

Hello, game crashes after you put fast speed for more than 20 minutes(but maybe like an hour), first sound stopps working with notifications and npc voices, then clicking sounds (buildings and sounds that they make), and then game will crash. So like memory leak 2.0? Didn't check it in venice sine my profile broke again... I post it here sine support is not working and live chat is always unavailable.

Hi! The problem is that bronze medal for 10 hours of playing time (the second on the right) does not unlock for me even after 10 hours spent in one game. It's not a game-breaking bug, but i was hoping to unlock all medals in my profile. So maybe someone can help me better understand this mechanic and potentially fix this issue.

 don't see how ubisoft can sell this product on the epic store when it doesn't work.

I loved anno 1404 it's one of my all time favorite city builders and when I saw this game announced I was very interested in playing it however my computer was very old and I wasn't able to. Jump to now and I've brought a nice shiny new PC. I see it's on sale at the Epic store so I pick it up, I've had awful experiences in the past using uplay which put me off buying ubisoft games, hence why I wanted to avoid it and why I brought it through epic as it's not available on steam. After downloading the game I'm prompted to link my epic account to a uplay account which I create and then link together. After this I try running the game, it quickly changes from "Launch" to "Running" and then back to "Launch" without opening, not a good start. I look at the files in the install location and try running the executable which installs ubisoft connect. Not ideal but I can put up with that if I have to and can avoid using the ubisoft client itself, I was kind of expecting this as the store page said it would require a ubisoft account so no big issue.

However at this point the ubisoft client asks me where I'd like to install the game....? What??? The game is installed... but nope the game needs to be installed TWICE! Once on epic and again through ubisoft connect. Why ubisoft, this is utter madness. Assuming this must be some sort of bug and I must have set something up incorrect along the way I uninstall the game and set about reinstalling it. The exact same thing happens again.

This is absurd, this product is flat out broken if it needs to be installed twice and shouldn't be for sale on the epic store if you're unable to launch it within the software. This is incredibly counter productive making your paying customers angry won't make them want to buy anything from you in the future. I'm most likely going to refund this game due to these issues but thought I w

I cant obtain the stronbox (schatulle) in campaign mission 5.
When I destroy the fleet of guy forcas the only item that appears is a hit point item for a ship.
The strongbox does not appear. I also cant search the wreck nor click the wreck items on the beach.
Reloding and doing again does not work. Starting the mission again does also not help, so I'm stuck now...

I wanted to start another playthrough of one of my nostalgic games.
It installed, I started and:

DirectDraw initialisation failed!
SetDisplayMode failed!\nPlease check if your\n Windows display\nis set on 256 colors!


Well... I checked the homepage (annomuseum) and the "trick" there is to start via the config.exe-file.
That didn't work 😕

In Win10 you're supposed to check if DirectPlay is activated... well... it was and the error also shows that it just didn't do well in executing that.

Does anyone have any idea on how to get the game to run again under Win11? Is there some "compatibility mode" that I can start it under?

started Anno 1404 history ed. game locks and then when it comes back windows elements have been changed, odd.. but the little ship that sells tools when clicked on it now it doesnt do anything so i guess the game is over after 25 minutes of play...
