Hi

I am thinking about getting The Settlers game in my post title.But there is one that is confusing me.For The Settlers Rise of an Empire - History Edition it says the Hard drive space is 25 GB.

But the normal edition of The Settlers Rise of an Empire i have installed on my PC is only taking up 3.62 gb of Hard drive space.

Why does the The Settlers Rise of an Empire - History Edition,take up so much more Hard drive space?.

Hi, i just got the Settlers 4 History edition but the scrolling is so buggy that it becomes unplayable for me.
The modernized scrolling has no glitches except one major one: when you zoom while scrolling (holding the right button), the camera jumps all over the map.

The classic controls don't have that problem but the camera will glitch sometimes when you scroll:

I tried so many things:

it gets slightly better with 125 hz polling rate but then my mouse feels like a stranger and its still not solved completely

Is there any chance the devs will fix (at least one of) these bugs?

Hello there, if I try to launch the settler 7, I need ro reenter my password, but it won´t let me through.
If I abort this operation i´m stucked in an endless preparing screen.

Hi all,
just bought the History Collection after playing the original DOS Version a few times.
In Settlers 1 HE my minimap won't scroll when holding down the right mouse button.
Also the quick access to the minimap when doubleclicking the right button only works when I move the mouse.
And is there any way to enter real fullscreen mode without the windows bar at the top?

Only the main game, Rise of An Empire is in my games
The expansion, The Eastern Realm is not

Just want to let you all know S2 from the 90ths has a fan base and some guys made an extension with an online mode. Its called RTTR (return to the roots) they made a lot of improvement including resolution and more settings for funny nights with your friends all you need is the original S2 datas. Some people like me still have this stuff.

So I was wondering how you can get into the free camera mode in the Settlers 6. I know it is possible, but forgot how to do it. I know you can activate cheat mode (where the free camera is) by pushing ctrl + shift + / + * + - . But what is then the right button to enable free camera? Can anyone help me?

I brought the settlers collection as I remember how good the sixth game was but also loved the early ones. I started off fine no problems with it but then I changed a screen setting in the game and then it just crashed. Now I cant launch the game to change it back and have tried the ubisoft file verification with no result and reinstalled a few times. I need help fixing this if anyone has any ideas as I've got no clue what I'm doing. I can't seem to get in touch with ubisoft via chat or open up a case

Unfortunately, I can't find "Smack A Thief" minigame included in Settlers IV History Edition (which should theoretically have all the bonuses from Gold Edition). Is the information on Wikipedia wrong and it's not there? In this case, how can I get the minigame?

After 1 hour in Settlers 3 HE Amazon Campaign Mission 4 the game freezes.
I got 3 savegames from 5 minutes to 3 seconds before the freeze and tried loading them on 2 different computers, every time at exactly 1:00:30 the game freezes (music continues playing) and it can only be closed using Task Manager.
I encountered the first freeze within a single playing session without reloads, so it is unlikely the issue is caused by a corrupt save.
I did not try to replay the entire mission.

Two years ago I addressed several bugs to your team but it remained unfortunately without any answer. I am going to describe these bugs below once again and also provide a video proof of the bugs. I patiently waited for more than two years I would really appreciate if your team could work on these bugs and try to fix them.

1) Loading a save crash the game

For some reason after playing several hours on a map, I am not anymore able to load the game from the start loading panel, If I try to do so it result of a game freeze and crash shortly.
The only way I found to still be able to play these save game is first to load an early save of that game, it loads and then from the menu, load the last save of that game and it loads.
I mention that starting to that point where a save is buggy every new save from that save will have the exact same problem. (It is not a one-time save game issue.) It looks that after a certain point in the game, the game is not able to handle the save anymore.
Also I think this bug is linked to the bug number 4 listed below.

i want to play Settlers 2 HE Split Screen but both mice are controlling Player 1. Player 2 is controlled by the keyboard, even though i set Player 2 on Mouse in the config. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thank you!

hi all, any clue how to fix this?
weapons shop suddenly stops working, however there is enought ressources, settlers, etc. pp. just stops production after a while.

There seems to be no option to enable hardware shadows. Not only they look much nicer than this black pixel pattern, but the current shadows cause heavy subpixel flickering on my monitor, which hurts my eyes. Alternatively please allow us to download the old version of the game, I could always tweak the settings there and make it work.
