    Title Update 1.2.2 will be deployed on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One consoles, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Ubisoft Connect, Epic Games Store, Stadia, and Amazon Luna tomorrow: June 15, 2021. 
     

    Patch Sizes and Deployment Timing: 

    Xbox Series X|S: 18.7 GB 
    Xbox One:  13.5 GB 
    PlayStation 5:  5.32 GB 
    PlayStation 4:  5-13 GB (depending on region) 
    PC:  14.14 GB

    NEW CONTENT 

     
    Ostara Season: Mastery Challenge Game Mode 

    We added in-game support for Mastery Challenge.  

    • A Master of an ancient art sends you on a Quest to prove your might through trials that will transcend the rules of reality. 
      • Trial of the Bear = Test your strength (combat) 
      • Trial of the Wolf = Test your marksmanship (range) 
      • Trial of the Raven = Test your guile (stealth) 
    • Unlock unique rewards, that will both show your Mastery and give you more options in combat.  
    • Numerous shrines are hidden in the world, each home to 3 trials.  
    • To access Mastery Challenge you must be at least Power Level 221 and have completed the Uninvited Guests main quest after reporting on Grantebridgescire and Ledecestrescire. 


    River Raids Refresh 

    • Upped the stakes: rivers at higher alert levels will have increased rewards. 
    • Balanced Jomsvikings’ attack power to better match their rank. 
    • Wayland’s armor will be available to buy in Vagn’s Store using Foreign cargo. 


    New Skills 

    • Mounted Archer = Eivor can use their bow ability while mounted.  
    • Shield Master = Eivor automatically rotates to block incoming attacks by holding up their shield.  
    • Unstoppable = While in combat, Eivor’s sprint becomes unblockable and knocks enemies back at the cost of stamina. 


    Game Improvements 

     
    Miscellaneous 

    • Increased the rune list cap from 100 to 300 so that all runes are being displayed in the inventory. 
    • Purchased Map packs will now display relevant icons in Ireland. 
    • Addressed an issue causing the Blacksmith Hammer to disappear after TU 1.2.0. 
    • Addressed an issue that caused the Photo Mode UI from disappearing on Xbox. 
    • Addressed an issue that caused Settlement pets to disappear after A Dog's Rescue. 


    Balancing  

    • Addressed an issue that caused weapon stats not to update after equipping Greatsword Training (bear) stat from the skill tree. 
    • Addressed an issue that caused Feign Death to not work properly. 
    • Addressed an issue that prevented stats from updating after equipping Remedy or Antidote runes on any gear set. *I guess you could say we remedied the remedy* 
    • Addressed an issue that caused Ullr's Bow ability damage bonus not to work properly. 
    • Addressed an issue that prevented Sinner Skull's perk to activate properly. 
    • Addressed an issue that caused Raider Axe's perk not to reset on heavy hit.  
    • Addressed an issue that prevented Briton Shield's perk to restore more than 10% health on parry. 
    • Addressed an issue that allowed enemies to block shoulder bash with parries.  
    • Addressed an issue where enemies wouldn't react to Battlecry during assaults.

    • Addressed an issue with Into the Fog that caused the second Follow the Puca tracks objective marker to disappear from the map/compass. 
    • Addressed an issue with Snaring Thorstein that prevented the player from interacting with the NPC. 
    • Addressed an issue causing a brief freeze at the beginning of The Cost of Betrayal quest. 
    • Addressed an issue keeping the Gae Bolg finisher attack from triggering the weapon's perk.

    This is to let you know that we deployed a hotfix to address an issue with Into the Fog. and Avenge Quests. Please follow the respective steps for the fix to become active.

    Cannot harm the Puca in Into the Fog

    • If you are affected by this issue, please follow the steps below:
    • Create a manual save
    • Close the game application and relaunch it
    • Load the save you created before


    Avenge Quests / Hall of the Slain Ubisoft Connect Challenge
    We tweaked some backend settings that should allow players to find more Avenge Quest opportunities in the world. We will continue to work on improvements to the visibility of this feature with future title updates.

    Note: If a load action is performed before continuing with gameplay, you'll have to close and relaunch game application.

    • Close the game application and relaunch it
    • Load the save you created before


    Note: If a load action is performed before continuing with the quest, you'll have to close and relaunch game application.

    • Cold Rage – Ignore hit interruptions while performing successive regular melee attacks. This effect recharges after a few seconds.
    • Eye of the North – Prevents flinching from hits while aiming with your bow. This effect recharges after a few seconds.
    • Intense Rage – Ignore hit interruptions while performing your next off-hand parry or special attack. This effect recharges after a few seconds.

    • Added an option to the gameplay menu to toggle the cinematic camera on/off during finisher moves.
    • Addressed an issue preventing the duel with Dag from triggering after sleeping in A Brewing Storm.

    • Allowed Bayek's and Altair’s outfit appearance to apply to other armor when using Transmog.

    • Addressed an issue with the Spinning-Death and Vordr Bite perk that caused the Chance percentage to be higher than intended.

    • Addressed an issue where various Fly Agaric mushrooms were missing the Mystery highlight.

    One of several fixes coming with Title Update 1.2.1 includes a temporary solution for the missing fish problem. Several locations, marked below, will have specific fish that have been absent from the game. 
     
    Keep in mind these fish will appear in additional places with a future update later in June, but for now these maps will help guide you to the places you’ll need to finally finish your finny frenzy.

    You’ll find Sturgeon (small) and Flatfish (big) down in the Kingdom of Wessex, at the south-western-most point where the river meets the sea in Hamtunscire. If you’re casting your line on the coast, you’ve gone too far – you’ll want to try looking in the river, just south of Wincestre’s western walls.

    Halibut (small) can be found in the marshes in eastern Mercia, close to the border of East Anglia. You’ll have your best chance of catching these fish in the waterways between Lincolnscire, East Anglia, and Grantebridgescire. Alternatively, head to the Isle of Ely synchronization point, then go north to find the spot.

    Lastly, when your sights set on Mackerel (big), you’ll want to head back to Norway. The fish will be available on the coast, in the waters west of Alrekstad and south of Ulriken Peak. Fast travel is available through the harbor and synchronization point, respectively, and should make for a quick – if cold – excursion.

    We added in-game support for the Ostara Festival. 

    • The Ostara Festival will be available from March 18 to April 8. It will feature a bloomy Ravensthorpe, some unique side activities (such as egg hunts), and special rewards. 
    • We’ll provide more details about the Ostara Season content in the First Look article coming March 18.  


    Change Appearance / Transmog 

     
    We added Change Appearance aka Transmog to the game. 

    • Change your gear and weapon appearance within the same category of items at Gunnar’s blacksmith in Ravensthorpe for 50 silver. “This piece was already exceptionally beautiful, but if there’s anyone who could improve it, it’s me!” —Gunnar 
    • Changed items will be marked with a star in the inventory. 

     

    New Skills 


    Fearless Leaper = When activated, the leap attack damage has a larger area of effect and can be done at any height. 
    Raven’s Loot = Your raven gathers loot from targets killed with ranged attacks. 
    Loot Food = Eivor now has a higher chance of looting food from dead bodies.  
     

    Close Camera Option  

     
    We added a close camera option to the game. 

    • Once toggled, it will activate a closer camera during regular gameplay. 
    • The camera will zoom out during combat encounters. 
    • The option can be toggled in the Gameplay menu.

    • There will now be more cats throughout England. *The best clutter.* 
    • Foxes should no longer spawn inside Lunden.
