I knew that there was a lot of fuss around the bugs in AC: Unity when it came out. However, I figured that all of that had to have been fixed in the past so I booted it up for the first time today. However, there have been a lot of issues that impacted the game's playability.
First off, the game takes about 5 minutes to boot up. The first few hours of playing, I experienced the following:
-Very bad texture pop-in (Oftentimes, I’ll stand next to a building and the texture just does not load. Anything in the distance? Forget about it)
-Random freezing during gameplay
-Audio cutting out
-Cutscenes with extreme delays and freezing
-Extremely long loading screens
I tried to verify the files in Ubisoft Connect but I got a pop-up saying that it failed to validate the game files. I’ve tried closing it and starting the game again, but it put me in an infinite loading screen. My rig should definitely be able to run this game. Is this normal, or is something weird happening here? If so, any suggestions as to how I can fix it?
