Hi!
Unfortunately, I have the problem, after an actual first successful start, that the program never wants to launch anymore.
I'm using the Liberation Game shipped with "Assassin's Creed III".
When I press the "Play" and then the "Assassin's Creed Liberation Remastered", first a splash screen shows up where it says that it syncs with the cloud, for example, the splash screen disappears after that, the mouse cursor blinks a bit, and then nothing. The game doesn't start, the "Play" button is clickable again.
In the Windows Event Viewer I can see the following error log (translated from german):
Name of the faulty application: ACLiberation.exe, Version: 0.0.0.0, Timestamp: 0x5c8b8916
Name of the faulty module: ucrtbase.dll, Version: 10.0.19041.789, Timestamp: 0x2bd748bf

What I already tried:
Setting the compatibility mode of "ACLiberation.exe" to "Windows 7" - did not change anything, also "Windows 8" did not change anythingActivating the compatibility setting of "ACLiberation.exe" to deactivate the fullscreen optimizations - did not change anythingUpdated the graphics driver to the latest version - did not change anythingRunning "Check files" in the Ubisoft Connect client - ran successfully, but did not change anythingI saw some tipp to deactivate the "Geforce Experience Overlay", but my Geforce Experience App does not have any such setting.Installed all current Windows Updates – also did not change anything
"Funny" thing is at the first start after installation it was running without problems.. I was entering the main menu and checked if my savegame is there, then exit the game. Windows asked me to add the Exe to the Firewall Settings then. I allowed public and private access. Since then I never was able to start the game anymore.
I also tried to change the Firewall settings for "ACLiberation.exe" to give access to "All", even tried to remove those settings from the Windows Firewall, all did not change anything with the faulty start behavior.
I'm running the game on a Windows 10 Laptop, Acer Aspire E17, 24GB RAM, with an Intel Core i5-7200U 2Ghz processor and a Nvidia Geforce 940MX graphics card. According to the minimum requirements on the steam page that actually should be more than enough.
Is there anything I can do to make that game launch?
Cannot download the latest patch (1.03) for Assassin’s Creed III Remastered on Xbox?
