One of the things that kept me playing The Division 2 even long after finishing main campaign was the Manhunts. Season 10 brought this "Price of Power" Manhunt, and as always, these minions to kill first to eventually unlock the main target. First target is Mike "Trig" Schneider and I just cannot get to him because I am killed over and over and over... by a dreadful disastrous combination of locked difficulty on Heroic, disgusting level design and very broken enemies choice.
First issue is level design. The are chosen, Jefferson Plaza was a TERRIBLE choice to put this contract. Areas are basically long corridors with little space to reposition myself, and is the worst when enemies rush at me while others shoot at me from afar.
Second, the enemies. There are a lot of them, you put those quadrupede drones, one of the most annoying enemies of the game by default (putting drones as roaming enemies was one of the worst mistakes ever of The Division 2; even in Ghost Recon Breakpoint the drones were more tolerable, as broken as they are), then Medics that keep ressurrecting enemies or puting that healing device on the floor, then almost all enemies have yellow bars with armors and some stay at the back of the area shooting at me while the others rush and flank me. Then there are the spawns, where in the first area a lot of enemies spawn at the back and in the second they appear back and front 3 times or so. After there is the machine room with the stair where is the easiest but with either Minigun guy or Quadrupede Drone again. Then there is the Hotel or something like it where is a little more open but small for the big amount of enemies, where by then I am depleted of healing items and grenades.
And the very worst part is when dying having to start all over again killing all the same enemies. Usually this wouldn't be an issue, but in a mandatory Contract with a huge difficulty and so many buffed enemies to fight against this becomes a HUGE ISSUE.
Obviously I am not saying the Contract is impossible to complete and such on the contrary, with multiple players the Contract should definitely become doable but I play Solo and is difficult to have randoms joining my sessions, really rare to happen so when a challenge becomes so punitive to be completed to the point I struggle not to injure myself out of rage and I feel forced to find other players to complete it, then the game becomes really broken.
I have been struggling very hard to enduring the constant crashes The Division 2 has had since past year even after several updates but enduring such a broken difficulty as this is too much. Even the Hunters, the HUNTERS, were more balanced than this, because at least they were MEANT to be broken and on top of that were fair enough to be fought at very well designed large areas. Not this thing, where there if punitive challenge just to defeat some nobody target.
So yes, I uninstalled and do not see myself returning to The Division 2 anytime soon. Maybe before the end of Season 10 I could return, but there are such better games to play and thing to do I might just drop it for good. Shame on you, Ubisoft.
