So we all have seen a tight agenda for the division 2 for the last years and developers still have lots in store for the months to come. I have no idea what is going on at massive or how many people are working on every aspect of the game. But, it all seems too much for them to handle; or at least, too much in such a short time. It reminds me of Division 1, when the community agreed to wait in order to get the game in top shape. I am not sure that is possible anymore. It may be hard to admit, but I do not believe The division 2 will ever be technically perfect. I believe developers should focus on the main problems at hand and the ones that are better for the community and the game itself before the game is abandoned. After some recent events and after witnessing some people's opinion I think I should also state mine, in a constructive way, at least.SHD or Watch cap: Is a fact that after reaching 1000 shd level we become more resourceful. Not only that, leveling up SHD will affect health directly. The fact that we can increase our health indefinitely is something to be concerned about. If our watch is capped at a certain level we can keep farming but all those extra points will only go to the scavenging branch, which is one of the strongest perks of the watch. That should remain the same.XP/SHD farming: The recent changes in summit show just how unbalanced the game actually is, in terms of XP. It really don't matter what activity or mission it is. People will always try to be effective and will farm whatever is more rewarding or grants more XP. If you have been in the game long enough you know about target practice, warhound convoys, DZ 5 directives, resource convoys, floor 10, you name it. The community has proven to always find a way to farm XP. One solution would be to separate the XP you usually get and the SHD points when leveling up. What if you can still farm like you normally would and still get SHD points? If we consider the rework mentioned previously where you can farm scavenging points alone then there's no need to do XP exploits since scavenging points would be awarded accordingly to missions or activities. SHD scavenging points would be more like another form of currency granted by mission or any activity according to how difficult it is. The difficult missions that take longer would give more SHD. Think about how long does it take to complete a legendary mission and how many SHD levels you actually get. Now, think about how long does it take you to do resource convoys and how many SHD levels you get. That is the huge difference when farming SHD to this day. Taking this notion as a basic rework concept then we can re balance XP and SHD level up without making players less resourceful and we would still get XP cashes every time we reach 700k XP.Expertise and PVP: Probably a limited number of people do greatly benefit from the recently introduced expertise system. I see a greater benefit in pvp than in pve. It takes time and a lot of resources to only reach level 21 without even mention to upgrade your weapons and gear. Not everybody is willing to go that extra mile especially if they do not pvp. Is true, we didn't ask for it but I think is what the game needed to keep it alive when we do not have new maps and more progression in the division universe. Lately, I have seen and heard people complaining about expertise and how unfair and time consuming it is. And, the only reason I think they do not like it or want it removed from pvp is because they do not have anything maxed out. Either, they lack the time to grind or they are casual players doing pvp. I can only suggest one simple solution for such dilemma. Do not remove expertise on invaded DZ maps and in conflict. And, also implement a player bracket based on their expertise level into the normal dark zones, similar to what was implemented in The Division 1. The reason why conflict should not be affected is because that is pure pvp map and anyone going there is probably already maxed out. But you can implement a ban system in which players can choose what gear and skills they want to ban for the entire match. This should balance between metas and op skills.
Watch, expertise, SHD and the fall of summit:
I hope summit is the last xp farm to be fixed, not because is or was bad for the game but because it shows how unbalanced the game really is. Somehow, It is still hard to understand how this activity was breaking the game. After all, the division has always and will always be a repetitive game. However, I do also understand exploits put others in a mayor advantage over the huge majority, especially now that we have expertise. So, based on "The Fall of Summit" and everything else we have seen to this day, I devised a "fix" for the expertise system and Watch which are tightly integrated into how we farm XP.
Of course, this is a basic concept that I wanted to share. I think this would bring balance and would benefit everyone if the concept is rightfully matured.
