Is there ANY way for me to play a game without the store map packs enabled? I made an impulse purchase when I was playing the game back close to release and I stopped playing as it completely ruined the exploration aspect that I enjoyed. IIRC the store page described it as adding a filter meaning I assumed I could turn it off.

To be clear, I want to play the game with the map as it was before - with the coloured lights and you don't know what it will be until you get there. Turning the filters off just makes the map blank.

Has anyone even had any luck with getting them to remove or from their account? If it's a case that it's baked into save files I'd even delete those and start from scratch just to have the have back to the way it was supposed to be

It really bums me out that I gave Ubisoft MORE money to end up having a game that's measurably less fun and they won't let me take it back - I even tried playing the version on Stadia and it has the map pack enabled too - there seems to be no escape.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
