The Division Games need offline already. The Division 1 is so dead anymore that unless you either find players in The Underground hub or wait Eons in matchmaking a team is near impossible to form. The player base doesn't even exist in 2021. The Division 2 is on the decline because of failed promises for new content. Thier a dead and dieing game ex-franchise. They can still have online qualities but need to be redone like Ghost Recon: Breakpoint with AI companions. Ubisoft can't even say it would be a lot of work because all they would need to do is use the same code for the AI just with minor tweaks. Keeping these games Online only is like beating a dead horse and showing just how out of touch Ubisoft is with the gameing community. Most of us don't even play online all the time and actually enjoy being able to play our games in peace without a 6 year old kid or some 20 year old tweaker trying to tell us how to play our game even if they never played before. (Going off topic here in 3...2...1...) Also Ubisoft, stop trying to be SJW you completely ruined your E3 segment and were literally the laughing stock worst than anyone else (watch 90% of your reviews on your E3 on youtube) you bombed out guys....horribly (and no that's not a good thing). Can we please get back the old Ubisoft back before you decided Uplay and online only was actually a good idea when in reality it was just an all around bad idea and before you thought you had to be politically correct in your game creation. (Back on topic) The Division has no place being online only anymore not when the community died a long time ago but for those players that are still faithful to it that doesn't mean shutdown the servers because then you will get one grand prize of gamers backlashing, just give it an offline mode and stop acting like you had a great idea with that online only BS because.....just no....it wasn't it was a....💩 idea.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

yes or how about a Customizable server where we can make a custom server (offline server would be awesome too...) cuz id rather play the game in my way rather than be limited by the games "RESTRICTIONS"

See the problem being Ubisoft has this what they think is this great idea with Uplay. Now problem being they make you pay for the game, you pay for Expansions, you pay for other in-game content by purchasing in game currency. Now when they shutdown servers, say you poored 200+ dollars into a game, when a server shutsdown your out that 200+ dollars with nothing to show for it but a game that is now useless and can no longer access. Its not like these are MMO games no they are single player WITH SOME multiplayer experiences. Your basically being conned and told to enjoy it or [censored] off. This is how Ubisoft works now a days. If they don't fix themselves gone are the days of them being a great gaming company, now they are just a bunch of con artists milking you for everything your worth.

The people that defend Uplay and online only are either working for Ubisoft or clearly have no commom sense. 😂

I have to agree. Multiplayer is not very active in Div 1 nor Div 2.

But the worst part is that Ubisoft can't keep up with servers. Playing solo and getting disconnect after disconnect after disconnect - when you have excellent internet that works perfectly with any other online game - is just plain annoying. Add to that the long startup process and it becomes game breaking. This seems to be particularly bad at certain times of day when you just can't even play due to the constant crashes.

I understand Ubisoft wanting to implement security, anti-hacking and anti-stealing-the-game through online, but for solo play that could easily be implemented at startup and occasional attempts to save on the servers but not make it game-crashing events.

It would also help if they fixed their "Report to server" functionality of D1... or at least turn off the stupid prompts if they have no intent of fixing it.

    Not possible:

TL;DR - a lot of the processing (e.g. loot generation and AI) is done on the server as previous-gen consoles can't handle it.

I'm okay with this online arrangement, it was known from the beginning, people knew what they were getting into.
I would be very upset though if the servers would be shutdown anywhere between now and the next several years, because that would make the game unplayable.
There is hope they won't do that, as they still sell the game... but it happened before.
    Fingers crossed.

Good comment. It explains the reason for a lot of the weird design choices. It might not be very applicable for PC, but I'm sure they only keep one codebase making PC players suffer for what is needed by consoles.
