I noticed it in the Druids DLC, whit the Champion of Ireland armor, and now in Paris too, you start by receiving a Wolf type cloak. Now I've just finished collecting all the 3 hidden ones keys, and the reward is a short sword...Wolf affiliated. It's pretty bummer, if this is a sword that belong to the hidden ones/Assassins, it should be Raven affiliated. I already had a Wolf short sword from the festival.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@sicariusxxvii Maybe. Dont know. But does that really matter?
Once the skill tree is completed, you receive the same bonuses for wolf, bear and raven, and the set bonuses are crap anyway (simply because you're already a half-god, near unkillable)

@torfinr My Raven tree is complete, but the Wolf and Bear aren't quite there yet. Anyway, I think it's cool to have everything from the same type. Will a nice Raven short sword eventually come in this DLC?

@sicariusxxvii Maybe. But consider that fact:
once you'll have the three skills completed (bear, raven and wolf) which will happen eventually, the bonuses from the trees will be exactly the same for all the 3 trees.
It means that it doesnt really matter if you have swords from a different tree.

Vahalla gives the illusion of builds in the first few hours of playing with those 3 trees. The reality is that there are absolutely ZERO customization in term of skills (raven, wolf and bear). You can do whatever you want, you'll end with the same set up than your 9 yo nephew at the end of the day.
Borked system. They tried the reinvent the wheel from Odyssey and they failed at it. If only that could be the only borked mechanic of the game...

@sicariusxxvii Wait, does the 'Wolf/Raven/Bear Gear Upgrade' work for weapons too??? Huh, I had just figured they worked on the armor only. I get why the Dublin Champion is a Wolf set. Its' focus is on Ranged and stealth, focusing on the hidden archer play. I just wish the sickles/short swords/scythes also had nodes bumping their abilities up.

The Byzantine Greek armor set is also a wolf set, which I find odd. It focuses on crits, making it a Raven set. Or a Bear set. It definitely doesn't pare too well with the Byzantine spear, which I thought it would.

@jakl201 the bonuses apply to the set's animal (bear, raven, wolf) for all amours and weapons
Once you'll have the skill tree completed, it really doesn't matter which weapon/armour you use.
Of course some may say that there are "set bonuses" but honestly, by that time, when all will be completed, you'll be so godly that the small set bonuses wont affect your godliness and you will be unkillable anyway.
Feel free to mix bear, raven, wolf sets, after completing the skill tree (400 or so points) it has ZERO impact on your overall health, damage, efficiency.
