Re: [Cutscene does not play in the 'War in the north' quest and the objective is stuck on 'Regroup with Faravid'](/topic/99371/cutscene-does-not-play-in-the-war-in-the-north-quest-and-the-objective-is-stuck-on-regroup-with-faravid)

I got to meet Faravid and the scene freezes up! Will not allow me to do anything but go back to main menu? I have patch 1.3.0

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Hello there @ELGGY! Welcome to the forums 🙂

I'm sorry to hear you've encountered some trouble when approaching Faravid in "War in the North." @azullFR has shared a link to a successful workaround that you could try:

I fast travelled to the nearby tower and walked the small path around to Faravid and when the game went into the freeze state I paused the game, then I hit the share button on my controller and immediately the game unpaused and loaded the cutscene. Unfortunately the clip i took ends too soon to show the cutscene starting.

A player in a similar thread also confirmed that fast-travelling away and returning to the area resolved the issue for them:

Fast traveling to Ravensthorp, sleeping, and fast traveling back to the Anlaf's Lookout fixed it for me. Walked up and the cut scene triggered almost immediately

Would you be able to try fast-travelling away and returning, using the above suggestions to guide you?

If you're still freezing when approaching Faravid, would you be able to send us a video which shows this happening in-game? I'd recommend uploading any videos to a sharing platform, such as YouTube or Google Drive, as this will allow you to post a shareable link within this thread. We can then forward this for further investigation.

    Thanks! 😊
