Hello people i'm at ~120h in and i have this one question wich is buggin my mind hard and i cant seem to find any real info for it !
I'd like to ask is there anywhere at any kind of info about true values of characters defensive/offensive stats other than just number and explanation "affects character melee damage" "change to avoid damage" "reduced all damage" etc,
for me that looks pretty confusing when you think how much stats points they added from passive trees and so on.. like for example critical change and damage, those cannot be raw values no way.. or armor + light/heavy damage resistance + melee/arrow resistance, same with elemental resistances or damage numbers. if those were raw values your character would hit so hard that everything would be just blood mist or you just deny all the damage. I'm 50/60 sure there must be hidden % Value somewhere that is not told to us? or is it just that simple and i'm thinking it way too hard?
I have hard time to belive that there is no info anywhere how those stats work together while there is different page made for those stats or what's their true total value in combat other than just a number. Because i have no idea how much i deny damage what so ever or how much damage i really do against same level enemies not speakin of how much i take weight penalty for dodge etc. I really hope someone here could help with that
ps. for little example.. fight against "boss" that mainly does light attacks and it manages to kill you without no challenge with it's damage output.. you respect two light damage resistance nodes or add runes and difference is like night and day. very confusing.

I would like to second this request. Figuring out what works for you is part of the fun, I agree, but there are a lot of people who like figuring out what works for them through numerical analysis. Even if the calculations are complex and comparative, a starting point would be satisfying.

I would like to know the units used for Critical Chances Calculation ... if the unit is %, % of what ?, of socks ???*
for the weight runes I decided by my own that the units are : "Stone" as it was used in the past
Also, I must admit I didn't took time to verify if the "Attack Cap" still exist as shown in this Topic from @BJgobbleDix :
