    Simply put, I am using a program called Planner 5D to make Siege Maps.

    My goal is simple, make a Siege Map for EVERY season we didn't receive a new map. Which means I have my work cut out.

    So... to start off.

    I am making a Polish Hostel as my map for ZOFIA and ELA. It is in a small village just beyond the outskirts of Warsaw (Poland's Capital). The backstory is that the White Masks have legally taken over the structure by purchasing the property. However, they have been doing illegal stuff, such as making an armory in the basement as well as a lab to develop chemical weapons. So the Hostel is now more of a front for a sleeper cell. With the disappearance of an inspector and his follow-up, the police got involved and then it escalated from there. After the dust settled, Six recreated the architecture for use in training sim matches for the R6 Siege Team.




    This is still very much a work-in-progress, and I will provide a key once it is finished. For example, the black windows are windows that have the metal shutters over them, preventing peeking from the Defender side of things and breaching from the Attacker side. Blue windows on the other hand can be barricaded and breached through.
    So far, from left-to-right, we have the Library, Common Room, The Toilet, The Lounge, Front Stairwell, Reception, Security Office, Front Hallway, and the Kitchen.

    UPDATE !!

    I have added in a Rear Entry room, a Rear Foyer, and a Dining Room. I have also adjusted how some of my furnishings are laid out in order to allow more organic player movement. Note the tables in the Dining Room and Kitchen are to be flipped. Planner 5D doesn't allow you to rotate off the X/Y axis, as it is a program for home interior design.

    Also the partitions next to the stairs are to be non-transparent and are to represent non-penetrable walls. Planner 5D doesn't really let you make standing walls.






    Also, the program is starting to lag on this floor. It is designed for more basic plans.

    Phantom Sight I am planning to be a C.I.A. Safehouse in Denmark that has a bookstore / coffeeshop / insurance office as a front.
    The gimmick of that map? It is a square donut. The center rooms of the structure are actually inaccessible since they are a set of panic-rooms that are sealed. The backstory would be that a US Politician had an attempt on his life while on a political visit to Copenhagen. The path to the US Embassy blocked off by White Masks, the Secret Service headed for the nearest C.I.A. safehouse and dug in, with the VIP taking refuge within the panic-room-pillar. WARDEN defended his VIP while the Jaegerkorpset assisted in fighting the bad guys and got Six to see NOKK in action before recruiting her.

    UPDATE !!

    I have finished the 1st floor and I have made a few upgrades.
    Note, the BLUE-ORANGE square carpets are actually the locations of Hatches. This detail might change as I get to work on the basement region and find out how I am going to make the walls and furniture work down there, so I might need to move my hatch locations sometime.

    I have also begun work on the 2nd Floor, finished with the floor plan of it and am beginning the furnishing process.

    From left to right, starting with the top row we have The Bar in orange wooden flooring, followed by the Rear Stairs 2nd Floor.
    Back on the left side we have the Women's Bunks, and just south of that is the Women's Balcony. the two Grey rooms are the Women's Laundry and Women's Bathroom.
    Next we have the Common Loft, which is the upper-level of the Common Room found on the 1st floor. Note, the fireplace is actually supposed to ONLY be a chimney and NOT another fireplace (I am working with a good yet limiting program).
    Next we have the Men's Bunks and the Men's Balcony.
    Next row down we have the 2nd Floor Hallway, Front Stairs 2nd Floor, Men's Bathroom, and finally the Men's Laundry.

    This is less of an update and more of a declaration of what I am planning on doing for every season that we didn't receive a map / received a reworked map. It is quite a long list and this is just me showing what I have planned in mind for the structure's themes and location to give players some perspective on what I believe would've been added to these seasons had Ubi done so. So, without further adieu, the new maps I propose to compensate for each season without one -

    OPERATION // HEALTH
    Hostel - Warsaw Outskirts, Poland
    A hostel on the edge of the Polish capital has been legally bought by members of the White Masks. They are now using the Hostel as a front for hiding their sleeper-cell, which now uses a part of the basement as a lab and armory. When an inspector went missing and the police investigating his disappearance found themselves in a firefight, Poland sent in the G.R.O.M. and Team Rainbow sent in a team of their own to assist. The situation has been cleared and hostages freed. Mira liked the layout of the structure and Six approved to rebuild it as a killhouse in R6's facilities.

    This is the map I am currently working on, with images above showing updates on the progress.

    OPERATION // CHIMERA
    Quarantine Zone - Truth-&-Consequences, New Mexico, U.S.A.
    The outbreak has been quelled and the small town is still under intense lockdown. White Masks have breached the Quarantine Zone in an attempt to collect biomatter from any of the corpses that litter the streets and use it as a weapon. The National Guard has sealed the breach and Team Rainbow called in once more to stop the WM efforts. Aerial recon has tracked them to a strip-mall with a set of apartments on the upper levels. They have garrisoned the structure and dug in for a fight. Team Rainbow, assisted by their C.B.R.N. Threat Unit specialists, are to lay siege to the structure that lies partly in ruins.

    OPERATION // GRIM SKY
    Precinct - London, England, U.K.
    A turncoat from the White Masks has come forward with information and his former allies wish to silence him. A Precinct in London has leaked to the news that it is the location of the informant, and White Masks are sending in teams to silence him. However, they find a mostly empty building. It was a trick. Team Rainbow put out false information to lure White Masks into a trap while the turncoat is being questioned in a small countryside police station upstate near Cambridge. Minimal casualties were suffered as a result of this bait-&-trap operation.

    OPERATION // PHANTOM SIGHT
    Safehouse - Copenhagen, Denmark
    A U.S. Senator was on a political visit to Denmark when an attempt on her life was made. Secret Service had to make a few detours, learning that all roads to the U.S. Embassy were blocked off except for one. Knowing it was a trap, the convoy steered in the opposite direction to head for a nearby C.I.A. Safehouse that was disguised as a bookstore / coffee shop / insurance office. With the Senator safe in the Panic Room, the Secret Service dug in for a fight while the Jaegerkorpset went in for support. This mission let Six see NOKK in action before bringing her onto the team.

    OPERATION // EMBER RISE
    Smuggler's Estate - Peruvian Countryside, Peru
    Team Rainbow has tracked White Mask funding operations to a few places, one of which was an artifact smuggling Operation. After getting specialists AMARU and GOYO on the team, Team Rainbow began to lay siege to the Private Estate of these black-market smugglers. A mansion that is reminiscent of the design of Reza Nouri's Private Estate from Splinter Cell Blacklist, situated on the side of a mountain and decorated with art & artifacts from around South America; be sure to be mindful of where your bullets and explosives land during the match. You might end up ruining precious museum exhibits and priceless artworks.

    OPERATION // SHIFTING TIDES
    Killhouse - NightHaven Sea Platform No.6, Indian Ocean
    NightHaven has a few Sea Platforms that it uses for it's many operations around the Eastern Seas. Platform No.6 is one that is used specifically for training purposes. The structure itself has been fully outfitted with a medical bay, armory, firing range, sleeping quarters, a gym, sleeping quarters, and an entertainment center. But on the surface of the platform is a mock structure that is built from modular parts using the platform's crane. Similar to Pre-Rework Hereford Base and the Stadium maps in terms of visual aesthetics, this killhouse is used to train her forces without having to deal with intervention from governments that would have a few safety citations to dish out had this training center been on land in her home country or abroad. International waters has its perks.

    OPERATION // VOID EDGE
    Abandoned Village - Moroccan Desert, Morocco
    A village that was abandoned long ago due to a lack of trade coming in, the residents moving to the cities for a better life. KAID's forces have reconstructed the village time and time again. They are also conveniently the ones who destroy it time and time again in training exercises to help with fighting insurgents, smugglers, and outlaws. The town-hall of this small village has been greatly expanded upon and fortified by the G.I.G.R. to act as their killhouse for Siege tactics. Recently, a small satellite has crashed nearby, and IANA would like to retrieve it for the R.E.U.

    OPERATION // STEEL WAVE
    The Cage - Durban, South Africa
    Team Rainbow has tracked another source of funding for the White Masks. An illegal poaching operation in South Africa that is capturing exotic animals for nefarious exports. The I.T.F. has been notified and an operation has been approved to rescue the animals and capture the poachers for questioning. NightHaven is on support for this operation and has brought in ACE to assist. The structure under siege is a warehouse that has been converted into living space for the poachers as a hideout.

    OPERATION // SHADOW LEGACY
    "The Farm" - Camp Peary, Virginia, U.S.A.
    The place where Splinter Cell began. A training course facility used by the C.I.A. and N.S.A. back when Third Echelon first began. This hangar has a variety of structures within that are used for training stealth operatives. With Sam Fisher being brought in to the fold of Rainbow Six to help instruct the Siege Team, ZERO has been approved to allow them to make use of "The Farm" for a location for instruction. Filled with mock structures and out-of-date equipment that is now expendable, the stage is set for destructive yet stealthy training simulations to take hold.

    OPERATION // NEON DAWN
    Black Market - Bangkok, Thailand
    A bazaar in Bangkok has been found to be a major junction in weapons smuggling operations in the region, explosives mainly. ARUNI has been on station already, given her specialization with explosives and past experience. The main structure of the Bazaar is the target, where they store the weapons and pack them into crates among other goods to sneak past customs on foreign ports. A multi-level structure, the bottom of which being the market, the middle being storage and smuggling operations, and the top being residential for the workers and black market thugs, with an office section for their mob-boss.

    OPERATION // CRIMSON HEIST
    Penthouse - Los Angles, California, U.S.A.
    ASH has a plan for her old friend FLORES. She needs his expertise to do what he does best... a heist. The top of a skyscraper has a private estate of a rich man who is suspected to be investing and brokering in illegal dealings. FLORES is to go undercover as a new cook and scope out the place. Within a few weeks, he will be given the signal to act and steal the information needed and act as the whistleblower. Team Rainbow will then ascend to the mock-mansion at the top of the tower and seize the H.V.T. They have had plenty of practice on Skyscraper and Tower for such an operation.

    OPERATION // NORTH STAR
    Hunting Lodge - Nakoda Territories, Canada
    THUNDERBIRD has joined Team Rainbow and has been a welcome asset. What also has been welcome is the design of a Hunting Lodge that she and NOMAD had stayed at after their incident with the bear. Pleased with the intricate design of the lodge, and with a few edits; Six has made a recreation of the structure on Team Rainbow's training grounds for use in operations. Meanwhile the real Hunting Lodge up north was also expanded upon, but more for the benefit of the civilians that wander the region and are watched over by THUNDERBIRD when off of Rainbow duty.

    OPERATION // CRYSTAL GUARD
    Manor - Croatian Countryside, Croatia
    A manor that OSA was able to buy with her money she had earned over the years working with NightHaven as its primary source of Research-&-Development. OSA has provided Team Rainbow with blueprints of her 1.0 design of her Manor for use in Siege training sessions. She liked what she had drafted before the architect she hired made many adjustments to her liking, but she still wanted to see her piece of art come to life... and be destroyed in gunfire only to be restored again for the next bout of action. When not in use for training, the members of Team Rainbow often use the Manor for recreation.

    OPERATION // YEAR-6_SEASON-4
    Caisleán - Irish Highlands, Ireland
    Year 6 Season 4's Operator is from Ireland. I propose that since Rainbow Six Siege is a SIEGE game, it would be nice to have an Irish Castle as a map. After all, how does a conventional castle hold up against a modern siege? Stone walls and pillars are non-breachable of course, but the front gates and wooden walls are fair game! Plus you could easily throw in some For Honor references here and there for the Knights faction and the trophies they have taken from the other three warring factions. And for those that don't know, "Caisleán" is the Irish word for "Castle".


    And there you have it, what I plan to do so far with making these fan-made maps. Who knows, perhaps Ubi will take notice of this post, like what they see, and then make an Operation called ARCHITECT, GARRISON, FORTIFICATION, or something and add in a few maps at once by having a small group of the dev team focus on map making for a year to release three or four maps at once.

    I'd just like to say very impressive and good work especially with the amount you have created, just one question for now are the windows and doors able to open and close?

    They aren't. Planner 5D is a program used for interior decoration and home-planning. I could've used archways, but that wouldn't really convey where doors and windows are to be in the structure when viewing in 2D. And the black windows are the ones that would be covered by the impenetrable metal shutters we see on most maps.

    It would be cool for windows and doors able to be opened and closed, also the option to destroy them

    Be "unique" to this map, could expand to others would be great, where certain maps like kanal, border essentially with indestructible proximity alarms and plane with bullet proof windows, with the exception of kali and Glaz, and a few other maps with unique additions to it

    There will be some maps of mine with a unique quirk.

    Such as my Safehouse for Phantom Sight, which is in a sense a square-ish donut. The center of the map on all floors is inaccessible due to the central structure being a sealed panic-room. Basement has it's own utility room, ground floor has living quarters, and top floor has comms equipment and an armory; but players don't get to see that. This forces something like Coastline, except the center courtyard is inaccessible to both Defenders and Attackers, forcing players to rotate around the center rather than just cut through. I will not be narrow like Coastline, but it will prevent someone from just running straight from one side to another, even with breach holes in mind. Trap Defenders will love Safehouse since it will be more likely that someone triggers the traps in place.

    UPDATE, might be the second-to-last one for Hostel.

    So, I have done some light furniture rearrangement here and there, gotten the basement nearly complete, and I started putting up the objective locations as well.

    So, lets start off with the 2D Overview so far. I would like to note -

    • Black Windows are the ones with metal shutters over them while blue ones are able to be peeked through / barricaded / breached.
    • The Orange-&-Blue Carpet Squares show where hatches are located to be broken and drop down to the floor below.
    • Doors are just open doorways like normal. I would've used archways, but it is harder to tell where the doors would be located in the 2D layout otherwise.

    There will be a final update to this map, in which I will add in drone holes somehow, finalize the basement, and possibly... possibly add in some immediate exterior design, such as a front & back porch. Cannot go too far away from the blueprint's 0,0 axis point, as Planner 5D wasn't designed for much beyond the size of a house. Which might make my Manor and Smuggler's Estate maps a bit of a challenge.

    I like this challenge. I'll keep you posted everyone.
