At the end of the Siege of Paris main story, you have to get into the Villa at Amiens, and there are two ways to get in. One way is by getting the key to unlock a side gate door, the other is through a damaged wall section. When I played this through, I never bothered to get the key and took the wall entrance. However, once I completed the expansion and returned to this location, I discovered that the wall has been patched up and there is no key to get into the side gate, but the front gate is open and guarded by goons. Also, when trying to open the locked gate, Eivor uses the same dialogue, referencing the damaged wall that no longer exists. Because I never got the key to unlock the gate in the first place, I have no choice but to fight my way in to complete an avenge quest.

Can a future update have it so that the key still exists, and can the dialogue be updated since the wall is now patched up?

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@thenorfolkian has that key ever existed? I couldn't find it and probably it's the only key I'm missing.

Hello TheNorfolkian thank you for bringing this to our attention and congrats on completing the expansion.

I will bring this to our AC team's attention and see if we can get the dialogue changed when accessing the side gate a second time, so it does not refer to the damaged wall, thank you.

@bielik01 When I was playing that endgame sequence, I distinctly remember there being a key when using my bird to check out the area. I simply chose to follow the guided path to get in through the damaged wall section instead. In hindsight, I should have gotten that key.

@Ubi-Milky Thanks for getting this matter up the ladder. Can you also recommend that they also simply remove the lock on the gate? Eivor only uses the dialogue because the gate is locked.

Of course! I will add it to the report I have created @thenorfolkian though I can not promise if this will ever be implemented, it is however a great suggestion.

    Hello there!

I'd like to reach out to you all with an update. The development team have been taking a closer look at this report, and they will be deploying a fix for the incorrect dialogue in a future update. We don't have a confirmed ETA for when this update will be released to the game. I'd recommend keeping an eye out for more information about any future updates within the News & Announcements forum.

    Thanks! 😊
