Crit damage during AAR half of what my build indicates

Just finished the Washington Hotel with my new build centered around crit chance/damage. My build stats indicate 60% chance and 144% damage. Opening the After Action Report my crit damage is at 77%. Is that factoring in the overall damage it adds or is that just the added damage of the crit hits?

The summary has been inaccurate for a long time, and was removed from the raids because of this. Run a turret and drone build without using your weapon and it'll claim you did zero damage.

@dagrommit Oh wow, I wonder why they keep it in if it's so bad? Had me worried with the huge disparity in numbers, so thanks for the info!

On the whole, I find the summary usually looks reasonable for many of its stats - sometimes it's definitely way off, and there are certain things which are guaranteed to screw it up, though.
That said, crit damage always looks lower than your stats sheet value, I assume mostly because it's reduced by crit chance (eg on average it'll only be 60% of your stats sheet CHD value, if you've got 60% CHC). I think it might try and calculate it from the total damage you do from all sources, which means it'll be further lowered if you're also doing skill damage, area damage from breaking weakpoints/destructables, etc. I know it definitely can't account for Negotiators Dilemma transferred damage correctly. -

this was patched , we can see skill dmg numbers for some time now.
and i assume the missing CHD went to the wall with the bullets charged with it and that the players failed. -

I don't recall seeing this mentioned in any patch notes, but good to know. -
Though it may have been fixed in terms of counting skill damage, there are still plenty of other issues with this end of mission summary. So much, that I rarely look at it and certainly don't use it for tweaking builds.
But, if you must use it, in my experience the numbers are not terribly off unless anyone in the group is show with a negative damage. Once you see that, don't even look at it any further.
