    Hi i'm about 12 hours in and had the quest pop up in quests "a river to raid". however i'm unable to start the quest - no icon shows up on my map and can't find Vagn anywhere. how do i start the quest please?

    @angrybarry Hey there! Vagn should be stationed near the River Raiding Dock. If he's not appearing there, there is a known issue of him being beside a bush. If you still can't find him, I recommend restarting from a recent save to see if he spawns in the correct area. If you can't restart, would you confirm for me if you're playing on an Xbox console or a PlayStation console?

    @ubistorm Hi thanks for the response. Tbh I have no quest icon so concerned he's just not there. I'm loathe to start a former save as the issue has been there for a while so I'd lose a lot of progress. I'm playing on ps5

    @angrybarry I have had some success resetting problematic missions by fast-travelling around and exploring new places on the map. It's a risk though because if you have to restore to an earlier point, you lose even more progress.

    Sorry to hear that you would lose quite some progress @angrybarry reloading a previous save to this issue. At the moment, this is the only workaround we have, but thank you @virtualawesome for letting us know fast travelling out of the area has fixed many issued for you and reset their progress.

    Can you please make sure you have also met the following prerequisites of this quest -

    • You have completed a story arc to claim your first territory?
    • You built the Barracks in your settlement and recruited your own Jomsviking from Eydis?
    • Your game is updated to 1.3.0

    @ubi-milky Hello, I met the same problem here. I can't see the river raid NPC or talk with him. I also found there are two identical Barracks (the normal barrack took place of river raid barrack). And, the icon of barrack I can see using raven is placed between the two barracks. I guess this may have happened when I upgraded my settlement from lv4 to lv5.

    As it's been quite some time since we last received reports of this, could you please capture a clip of the issue as well as confirm the game version you're running on (this can be seen to the bottom right of the main menu)?

    We can then take a closer look and raise it to the team if necessary.

    @ubi-theberry I'm having same issue on Xbox one, I died on first river raid and when I reloaded save the quest is still in my quest log but there is no quest marker or start point for river raid again

    Hi @daffytheduck693 apologies for the late response.

    I am also sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues starting a river raid.

    Could you please provide a video demonstrating this issue. In the video could you show which update you have installed, this can be seen in the bottom right corner of the main menu screen. Then load your game and show your quest log, then go to the area where Vagn should be to start the river raid.

    I would recommend uploading your video to a video sharing platform such as YouTube, you can then copy the URL link into this thread.

    Hey there,
    Sorry to hear you encounter this.
    Please note that once you have completed the River Raids, Vagn's map will show that Foreign Supplies have been exhausted, and you won't receive any more when completing River Raids. You will still receive other material such as leather or iron ore.
