attackers with DMR's should have acces to 2.0x scopes for their AR's0 Likes/5 Replies/31 ViewsOriginal poster Karakzorn 29 posts
the title says it all. attackers who have acces to a DMR do not recieve a 2.0x scope for their rifle. I think its a good idea to make people give DMR's a chance, but nerfing an alternative to force people to pick the DMR seems cruel.

....what are you talking about?
FLORES's AR33 has a 2x Scope.
LION's V.308 has a 2x Scope.
They have Marksman Rifles. And often enough, it is the 1.5x Scope on the alternative instead of the 2.5x ACOG when the Operator has a Marksman Rifle.
BLACKBEARD's Mk17 CQB
And many of the Marksman Rifles have a variety of sights available other than just the 3x Zoom.

@karakzorn because most of those operators don't need the 2.0x scopes for their AR's, the F2 and C8-SFW meant for medium to close range engagements due to fact that the both have high RPM's with a good amount of recoil, and it's not the recoil for both weapons are hard to control, but even then, the weapons were balanced for said distances especially the C8 considering that it has the Skeleton Key attached to it, which acts as a soft breaching tool. The M4 is meant for medium distance due to the fact that it has some recoil but not too much. The V308 is meant for long to medium ranges which is why it has the 2.5x and the fact that the weapon has low recoil which is easy to control and a 50 round magazine for suppressing fire. And Blackbeard's MK17 CQB is meant to hold angles and protect the defuser from defenders but the problem with the MK17 CQB is the small ammo capacity and it's slow rate of fire that doesn't reflect it's IRL counterpart, which has a 650 RPM with standard 7.62x51mm NATO ammo. So if anything the only person out of all the operators mentioned that needs to have a 2.0x or a 2.5x is Blackbeard considering the horrendous damage drop off the weapon has, terribly slow rate of fire, low ammo capacity and the purpose in which his weapon is meant to be used, and giving him any one of those sights would actually help him considering that his shield literally breaks from 1 bullet and players are more likely to use full auto weapons when defending. But other than that, ever other operator mentioned do not need to have access to every DMR sight in the game due to the fact that each weapon in every operators loadout serves a purpose for different play styles. Twitch, F2 for entry fragging after clearing pathways and gaining Intel while using the shock drone, 417 for holding angles on bomb site after using the drone to clear a pathway for your teammates. Buck, C8-SFW for breaching and entering, CAMRS for breaching and holding long angles. Blackbeard, MK-17 CQB for holding close range angles on bomb site after the defuser has been planted, SR-25 for holding long range angles on bomb site after defuse. Lion, V308 for every fragging and clearing out a room after using the EE-ONE-D, 417 for holding long angles on site while your team breaches and clears with Lions gadget in use. Maverick, M4 when dealing with a flank or firing short bursts into site after torching site wall, AR-15.50 for shooting into site after torching as well as holding a line of sight on the defuser. Flores, AR-33 for pushing into site after using the RCE-Ratero Charge to clear site and push back the defenders, SR-25 for holding angles and taking out defenders from medium to long range after pushing a defender into a perfect line of sight. Each weapon serves a purpose.

They do, but for their Marksman rifles.
If you want to perform ranged combat, use the DMRs, if you want to get up close and personal; then you have to choose their ARs and their Shotguns.
I personally exclusively use Maverick's AR-15.50 with a 3x Scope, Angled Grip, and Suppressor Kit. I have found this weapon to be amazing in all encounters, with me switching to my pistol for when I am in extreme close-quarters.
