I’m not sure if this is really a bug or just some kind of issue that was set up by design and probably should be fixed.

When selling Irish trading goods to Azar, you get 50XP and 40 silver, but when you level up from these trades, you get no silver. Here’s the video proving that my silver did not increase when I leveled up. I’m playing on my XBox Series X with TU 1.3.0 installed and there are no technical or internet issues with my system.

Can this be fixed in the next update?

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Hello again thenorfolkian thank you for reporting this.

Do you only not gain silver when trading in a stack of 50 Ivory, or does this also affect the other items you can trade-in to Azar, also?

Can I also confirm, where you a lower power level to 466, when you originally were receiving the silver for trade-ins, at the start of the video?

It could be that this is a bug, or it could be this is intended as maybe Azar has ran out of money and has a daily cap for trade in's. Either way, we will investigate this further for you 😃

@ubi-milky I can confirm that it doesn’t matter which trading good you use, there is no silver gain when leveling up.

As for when I was below power 466, it was too long ago to recall. I also do not have a prior save to utilize for testing. If it is a necessary criteria, I’m sure the investigation team could find a way to replicate those conditions.

However, I can confirm that Azar has unlimited money. When I continue trading after leveling up, I still get 40 silver per trade, so this wouldn’t be a case of some kind of daily cap for trading. In fact, I’ve never seen Azar cap the quantity of trades for silver. I remember one time I traded in over 9000 goods and walked away with a nice chunk of change. If there is supposed to be a cap, it’s not working.

Thanks for providing these additional details, @thenorfolkian - I've passed these to the development team for you. 🙂

They're in the process of attempting to reproduce the issue at present, so we'll keep you updated with any progress on that here in the thread. If any additional details are needed, we'll also be sure to let you know here! Thanks again! 🙂

@thenorfolkian I can confirm this. Along with 50XP, there should be 40 pieces of silver, but instead I get 1 Mastery Point.

@ubi-froggard I’d like to report that as of TU 1.3.2, this issue has not been resolved. I am still not receiving silver from Azar when leveling up from selling Irish trade goods.

Adding another note that as of TU 1.4.1, this issue continues to exist. I hope that a future update will solve it.

I just experienced this also. I am not at full power level, so I received 2 skill points when I leveled up, but no silver. I don't know if it matters, but I traded clothing to level up.

@sidsixt It does not matter which resource you traded. The bug happens with all of them.

    Hi there everyone.

Thank you for posting here to keep a track of this particular issue.

After investigation, the development team is unable to address specific trader interactions with Azar, as they must focus on other issues that have a comparatively higher impact on gameplay experience.

We understand that this may not have been the update from us that you were looking for, apologies for any inconvenience caused by this.

If you have any further questions for us please be in touch.

@Ubi-Nacho Thanks for at least putting out this notification regarding the topic. I do understand that there are more pressing game issues that are causing bigger problems, so I will continue to AVOID making transactions with Azar just before leveling up until the team is able to resolve this issue.

After update 1.5.0, there is no indication in the upper right corner of the screen that XP is being received after each transaction with Azar, only silver. Comparing my XP meter on the Skills menu before and after several trades shows an increase in XP, so apparently we are still getting XP, just no indication.

@sidsixt Yeah, I think they did this and deliberately did not put it in the update notes because they knew people would not like it. I mean, if you were gaining easy XP for something since the launch of the expansion (WotD) and suddenly that benefit was taken away, what possible reason would it be other than preventing players from exploiting it?

@Ubi-Oxavo Would you mind communicating to the developers that we would appreciate having the XP for trading with Azar returned? Otherwise, could we get an official explanation for why this benefit was removed from the game now after all this time since nothing was mentioned in the notes for TU 1.5.0?

@thenorfolkian I am still getting the XP. There is just no confirmation of it given with each trade. I checked my XP diamond on the Skills menu screen before and after trading with Azar, and it increased. Since there is no confirmation, I can only assume I am still getting 50 XP.

@sidsixt What I’m saying is that they removed the XP indicator to make players think that its gone so that it won’t be ‘exploited’ as a means to level up.

    @thenorfolkian and here's a video

I don't think it's an exploit... It was a feature for owners of WotD, but why it's broken now?
