I click play on Ubisoft Connect and all it does is brings up a pop up telling me "This product cannot be activated right now, please try again later." I've downloaded the newest update of both Ubisoft Connect and Anno 1800 and still can't play at all.
Game is still broken. All the island have disappeared with only harbor signs left. UI messed up.
New and returning subscribers do not appear to be a priority for them.
I've been working for a few hours trying to troubleshoot this. I've reinstalled the game 3 times. I've reinstalled the launcher twice. I even tried playing it offline (which I cant do since I have access to it through UbiPlus). I played it this morning pre DLC just fine, after updating... "Unable to start the game. This product cannot be activated right now, please try again later." That is literally the only message I have gotten, no matter what fix I tried. Anyone know ANYTHING yet?
@reinstenva ive tried all of this as well and i also played the game 1hour before update and was fine.
@reinstenvaag In the exact same boat with the exact same message. Ugh. Would at least be nice to get some feedback on this and maybe a time we can look for an update. The barest of minimums...
@laeron2000 a mistake on an update i would say is forgivable but the lack of support and ''alone'' feeling when you have spent a 100 sterling on a game thats gone is the worst thing!
Next reply from support: Run a verify game integrity scan. Seriously? I included in my ticket that I had done that. I have also since ran it at least five times and nothing is ever replaced. Can I get something constructive from you Ubisoft?
Btw I did it anyway, with no change in the result.
@laeron2000 I dunno if this helps someone but I just got it to load up. All I did was go into settings and hit the box under Network that says Change Proxy Settings and then I got a pop up saying it was ready to play. [censored] unless they issued a patch at that same instant. Do I even have time to play now? Geezus
@mrdanii332 well you can play the game but the dlc is not available. Like it is in included in the sub but I cannnot play it. This is just sad for an efffing subscription which costs 15€!!!
Yesterday, I installed a patch but couldn't play. Said the game cannot be activated. Went offline and online and installed another 400MB. I could play but friends couldn't join my game. Went offline and online again a bit later and downloaded a 2Gb patch, then I couldn't play anymore. Says game cannot be activated.
Where are we on this issue? It seems to have been reported everywhere except here? I'm verifying game files, removing the cache folder and all that standard stuff, but it seems to be related to Ubisoft+
After the update yesterday I cannot play Anno 1800 because "This product cannot be activated right now". A 455mb pactch rolled me back to update 11 and i dont have access to the high life dlc. Now the 1.96 gb update patch hit me agian and now i cannot play at all "This product cannot be activated right now". What is going on? Ubisoftconnect thinking I just preloaded although it tells me my sub is active?
