So you know when you're laying a field and you place a segment by mistake, so you select the 'Demolish' tool, delete that segment mistake, then right click the tool on your screen.. well normally at that point it reselects the farm / field automatically to allow you to continue laying the field. But that's the bit that doesn't work. After I delete a piece, i right click to come away from the Demolish tool and it does nothing.. It doesn't bring the farm selection back up. If that makes sense.

    Thanks,
    Dragonfyr

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@mrdragonfyr Thanks for your post about this, Dragonfyr. Just to make sure I understand, when you use the demolish tool, and then unselect the tool, it'd usually revert to the previously-used selection - but now it isn't - is that correct?

Does this only happen when laying field, or with other items, too?
And is this behaviour something you've noticed only recently, since the update, or has it always happened this way when laying field?
Can you double-check our troubleshooting guide, and in particular make sure you've verified the game files and updated your OS, just to rule that out?

Thanks again for this report, I really appreciate it! Once you've answered the above for me, I'll be able to report this on to our devs to look into further 😎

    @ubi-thrupney

Hi Thrupney, thank you for replying.

So the issue in steps are..
    Place a Plantain Plantation.
    Select it.
Select the cultivation / field creator.
    Draw any amount of fields.
Say I want to change a part of the field..
So click on the Demolish tool.
Demolish the part of the field I want to remove.

Then I'd normally right click anywhere on the screen so the demolish tool goes away and it would normally > automatically re-open the Plantain Plantation window (in the lower right side) and I think have the field option selected to let me carry on laying the field. (or at least automatically re-open the Plantain Plantation window).

But instead... after I right click anywhere on the screen to get rid of the demolish tool, the Plantain Plantation stays selected, but there is no window in the bottom right of the screen.

So I have to right click again, and then again, then reselect the Plantain Plantation and reselect the lay field / create field button, to carry on.

    Hope that makes sense.

As for my system, I highly doubt it's anything to do with my system but did the following for you..

    Windows is up to date.
Graphics card is up to date.
There has been no changes to my system.
I've verified game files and that's all good.
I am also the admin of my system.
And my main setup can be seen on my website linked below, so you can see my pc can handle Anno 1800 without issue.

Yes, this issue only seems to happen when laying fields of any type on any continent.

And yes, I noticed this only after the recent update.

I could do a video of it and post it to youtube, if you want?

    Thanks,
    Dragonfyr
