    having to restart the whole mission when you were almost all the way through is very soul crushing. most randos i team up with when doing legendaries just leave if we wipe far into the mission. its just gets too tedious at that point. devs, pls consider.

    There a checkpoint in Heroic missions. Right before the final boss.

    there is a reason there are no checkpoints apart from the final boss one in the higher dificulties , or else eveyone would just yolo and brute force through the most dificult content from the get go , so there has to be some frustration involved if you plan to game like that.

    @n3mb0t I am aware of the final boss checkpoint. i'm only asking for the addition of 1 checkpoint in the middle, you would still have to make it through a whole half of a mission and then after that you still have to make it to that final boss fight. maybe heroic missions don't need midway checkpoints but legendary strongholds definitely do since they're much longer and enemies can basically insta-kill you sometimes.

    legendaries don't have to be frustrating. that's just a bad player experience. they should be really challenging of course but that doesn't mean they have to be frustrating.

    @metal_greg Frustraiting is a subjective thing. I'm totally fine with the fact, that Heroics and Legendary DOES NOT have a checkpoint before the Boss. It's a forced "no death" mode. Which is good.
    Legendaries, especially, weren't meant to be played by all players.

    Huh? As others have noted, they do have a checkpoint immediately before the final fight.

    (edit) just realized you meant "until" rather than "before", nvm.

    I know the difficulty comes into play here, as mentioned by other players, the lack of checkpoints adds to the difficulty.
    However, I can see how it could be a benefit to have a midway point if grouping up with others.

    I'll pass it on of course, and thanks for sharing this!

    They could add a checkpoint after each Boss fight, then have a directive that removes the checkpoints for more XP [maybe 100% instead of 25%, then dial down the Heroic/Legendary boost]?
