    Hello,
the game runed perfectly since I got the "Siege of Paris" DLC and installed latest grafic card drivers. Since then Im unable to play the game as it crashes as soon as Im either in the game (few minutes after) or the save is loaded. It doesnt matter which save Im gonna load its all the same. Error is that AMD driver has timeout. I reported to AMD via the reporting tool as well as via Ubisoft bug report.
All other games I have from different publishers run without a problem and also benmarking Timespay etc. or stress tests running without an issue.

Therefore Im pretty convinved that there is something in the game and driver compatibility at least on AMD grafic card side.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    Hey @thamerus2013

I'm sorry to hear that. Have you tried reverting to the previous graphics drivers to see if that resolves it for you?

@ubi-froggard Here's what I've tried.... I was running the driver version 21.4.1 for most of my playthrough. After the 1.3.0 update the game crashes. Updated the drivers, still the same issue. Now i'm on driver version 21.9.1. I updated my motherboard bios to the latest version, updated AMD chipset drivers, reinstalled AMD GPU driver with DDU, completely disable the XMP profile, reduced maximum GPU boost by 100+mhz. After all this effort trying to eliminate any variables on my end the game still crashes to desktop. Everything else runs crash-free. Stability of my system, even before updating the motherboard firmware is excellent. SSD health is excellent. The game is broken. After the 1.3.0 version it's broken. Before this version I had about 55 hours of gameplay with no issues at all. STOP blaming customers for your buggy game. My system specs: ryzen 7 3700x, 16gb DDR4 3600c16, rx 5700xt. The game is AMD sponsored, so work with AMD to try and resolve the issue. psu: rm650i gold running in single rail mode and I connected seperate pcie 8pin power cables.

I'm having a driver timeout error also for Assassin's Creed Black Flag. Got a Radeon RX 5600 XT. Tried AMD driver versions: 2021.10.2, 2021.8.2, 2021.6.1, 2021.4.1. It only stopped crashing with 2021.2.3 for me. Reported with AMD crash tool.
