Hi all, hoping you can help with this - recently I have been unable to progress the Lizard's Mask quest as the game crashes to desktop with a driver timeout error during the sequence in which Bayek is transporting Aya along the river to the temple in Memphis. The issue occurs once the boat with Bayek and Aya is roughly 117m (ingame) from the objective point, at which point the game freezes, then crashes back to desktop with said error.

I am running the most recent version of my graphics card's drivers (updated this morning) but the issue still occurs.

System spec is as follows: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 19043). Intel Core i9-10850K @ 3.60 GHz (20 CPUs). 20480MB RAM. AMD Radeon RX 590.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    Hey @madmartinman12

I'm sorry to hear that. It may be worth trying to just lower all the graphical settings you can just for this section of the game and see if that gets you past it. If that works, you can of course raise them again after.

Another thing you can try if you have access to another PC or computer (or if a friend could help out with that), try getting past the section on that computer by loading your cloud save on there.

We can take a look into the crash for you too if you'd like, but we'll need to see your system files (DX Diag and MSINFO) to get a look into this, so please reach out through one of the methods below if you would like us to look at those for you.
