  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    @psycho1691

    I feel the same way. It’s frustrating because IGN said that it would feature a full save system for coop this time around too.

    First player progresses his story, second player tags along. There is no way to do this differently in a story driven game.
    Second player gets the loot and xp and can even loot places he already looted again.
    What you want would be a "coop only" game mode where you can only ever play if both players are present.

    Respectfully, how does Ghost Recon Wildlands do it then? It has drop in coop and saves for both players - which is another Ubisoft game.

    @reddeathit You mean like

    • you have done 40% of the game
    • you get invited by a friend who is at 90%
    • now all the content between you have never seen is marked as "finished" for you

    Sounds like a bad idea.

    I can appreciate the use case that you make, but not everyone will be subject to it. Regardless, it’s not like the coop save file that you reference has to overwrite your single player one. It can be saved into another slot.

    My buddy and I bought this game to play together, after co-oping from start to finish on Wildlands, Breakpoint and Division 2 to name a few.

    The fact that it doesn't save missions for the second player is not what we wanted personally from Ubisoft tbh. Surely there could be an option for those of us who want to play the whole game in co-op - for both players to have missions etc saved, like the games mentioned above?

    @kormac67 That's not how it works. Anyone who is behind in progress and joins a host who is further ahead, will not have their progression saved. This is why we make sure everyone is playing together, even all the way from the very beginning. It sounds like a bad idea, only if you think of the "idea" halfway through, which is only an "idea" and not a "solution".

    Borderlands (not Ubisoft), Wildlands and Breakpoint (both Ubisoft) synchronized all of our progress together. What's more, both story modes in Wildlands and Breakpoint are actually in the view of only one person. This game should be able to do it too.
