What's the point of having abilities if you can't use them when you need them?0 Likes/4 Replies/81 ViewsOriginal poster human_male 2 posts
I've got a mission where I have to search a bathhouse for a missing scout. There's about four soldiers in there that I would rather not kill. But because there's specific point I have to reach, I have to just stuff about until the game decides I've done enough, I have to get rid of the guards. I'd rather not kill them so I intended to use my sleep arrow ability. But no, it's greyed out. All my abilities are greyed out. What the hell is the point of having abilities if I can't use them?
How often does the game do this?

@procadman It's during Lederchestershire arc.
@human_male There are exactly ZERO cases when the game blocks you from using abilities. The only time you can't use abilities is when you are in the air, on horse (you need a perk for it) and during sailing, coz, guess what, you control the ship. Seems like you hadn't enough adrenaline to use abilities.

@as1r0nimo Never tried them on horseback. I did question why the skill read that the character could now fire arrows from horseback when he could do that all along. I never thought to look at abilities.
@human_male What may have happened is you didn't have full stamina. It has been my experience, abilities won't fire unless you have a full block of adrenaline and a full bar of stamina.
As always "When you are up to your a** in alligators, you don't readily remember your initial idea was to drain the swamp".
