Hello, I have a very annoying bug with my game. This started to happen after I was forced to ALT+F4 the game because my character was stuck in the world not moving and I couldn't do anything, not even open the menu.

I noticed after starting the game again that all my control points were lost and most of the main missions were BLUE (active) on the map. This happened only for the game areas east of the White House + the West Potomac area. The bug did not affect the other areas in the map. This was before reaching World Tier 1, so I should not be losing control points at that time.

I tried taking back the control points but they would always become RED after a few hours later, when I would log back in the game.

After I reached WT1 and the Black Tusk invaded the map, in the same bugged area in the map, the invaded missions which are supposed to be RED are still BLUE. Plus, all control points which are bugged and I have taken have been taken back. I understand enemy factions can take over control points from the player, but in this case it's clearly a bug. It is not happening organically, it's a server side issue. The game simply refuses to acknowledge that I have taken certain control points or finished a mission. The mission icon on the map remains BLUE (active) after finishing a mission, I have tested it myself. It should be greyed out and only become active when I choose to play through it again.

This screenshot was taken when I was still in World Tier 1. As you can see, the Hyena stronghold (at the time, invaded) is BLUE. The Jefferson Trade Center (Invaded) mission is BLUE, should be RED. Now that I am at WT2, the mission icons remain the same, as if I haven't finished anything. PLUS, all the control points you can see in the image have been taken back - obviously a bug, because the one control point in the White House area (not bugged) was still mine last time I checked.

This bug only affects the map and control point progression. Please note that while I play the game I don't lose the CPs, but If I log back into the game a few hours later they ALL are lost to the enemy.

The story progression isn't affected by the bug. I can progress normally. Bug only affects West Potomac area + everything east of the White House...

Please MASSIVE and UBISOFT, fix this. It's really annoying and entirely your fault. I have sent a ticket but I have posted here as well for exposure.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Hello, I am currently level 30. After finishing a side mission in the west I decided to check my map and every control point east of the White House plus the control points in the West Potomac were "red" again, as if they were recaptured or I had never done them. Now, I have heard about control points getting taken over by factions, but I lost almost everything AT THE SAME TIME. Plus, the main missions icons are light blue again, as if I need to do them, but I have already done them.

Is this a bug? Can anybody help?

@relentless987 do you have a screenshot of your map? You can drag/drop images to the forum.

    @dagrommit here it is.

as you can see, the missions in the east, except for one, are active. And all control points are lost.

@relentless987 that looks like a bug of some sort. Do the missions show as completed in your characters progression? Assuming they do, I would just continue with whatever you need to play to get to world tier 1.

@dagrommit yeah its probably a bug. The missions show as completed in the progression tab, and the regions are still liberated.

Okay, so I reached World Tier 1 after completing the True Sons Stronghold. This reset almost all of my CPs, except for a few of the CPs in the western part of the map. I conquered a few CPs, in the White House and Theater Colony region. My map, after doing this, looked like this:

Hours later I logged back into the game and all the CPs I had conquered earlier were lost. This is some [censored] [censored]. BTW, the Grand Washington Hotel Invaded mission, which I have completed already, isn't greyed out. It's still blue, like it's still active. How can I report this so Massive can fix my game? I hate playing on this bugged map´.

Hello there, @relentless987 and @dagrommit! I apologize for the issues you have encountered with your map @relentless987 and I greatly appreciate your suggestions so far @dagrommit. To clarify, are you using multiple characters while playing through The Division 2? Also, do you remember the name of the side mission that you completed in the west, so that we can investigate this issue further?

    Hello there, @relentless987.

Thanks for your detailed description, and the image you provided! I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue, and I'd be glad to check into it for you. I understand you said you've sent in a ticket for this as well, could you post the case number to me so I can take a look? Also, about what date was it that you had to ALT+F4 the game and this started?

Thanks for the reply, @UbiMint ! Case #15474268.

@ubi-ray Hello, thank you for replying. I have another character, but I have only been playing with my second character (the one with the bugged map) lately. I honestly do not remember what mission was that, but it was a side mission against the Outcasts faction.
