    Hello,

    When I fire up the game on a PC via Ubisoft control panel, it's assuming I have some sort of controller attached (saying "A for OK", "B for Cancel", "LT for {something I've forgotten}"). This seems to result in the mouse cursor being really slow. What's going on here? I have no controller attached, and even if I did, how do I change it so that that controller is not used.

    Thanks,

    Matthew

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    @lastfreedom I had the same thing. It was detecting my Fanatec racing pedals as a controller. I had to unplug them and restart the game.

    @lastfreedom I don't have an answer for you, but I wanted to let you know on my PC I do not get those same symptoms.

    @lastfreedom

    In C:\Users\"your username"\Documents\My Games\Far Cry 6\ there is a file called "gamerprofile.xml" It has a setting: KBOnlyMode="0". You can try to set it to KBOnlyMode="1" and see if that helps.

    @m-roberti That didn't work for me. The game still sees my Fanatec pedals as a controller. My Thrustmaster TS-PC wheel causes no issues, just the pedals. It's not a huge deal but if I forget to unplug the pedals after an iRacing session and load up FC6 I have to unplug the pedals and restart FC6. This wasn't an issue on any of the other Far Cry games but it is an issue with some other games like Assassins Creed and Resident Evil games.

    Don't feel bad this unstable rascal semi routinely causes my comp to hard lock and crash Win 10, causing my comp to reboot. 😡 Sorry about your controller issue!

    I haven't had a lock up or reboot issues running on Win 11. I upgraded to 11 a few days before installing the game so I never played it on Win 10.
