  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

I was fightning the Wolf from the mission "Extended Family" ("Parente distante" in Portuguese) and I was sent away from the Arena. When I returned to the Arena, he wasn't there, so I discovered that he got stucked underground the Arena when I used the crow to locate him. I cannot see or kill him. I can still hear, but I can't see or kill him. Like the following photo:undefined

Already tried reloading the game for the last saves and nothing changed, but the oldest one is 11 Hours behind my actual save, and if i load this one, I would lose so much progress

    Re: [EXTENDED FAMILY QUESG](/topic/81018/extended-family-quesg)

    Hi, Support,

I want to report some bug's founded during gameplay in Valhalla. Especially boss fight with wolf in mission "Extended Family" is extremely buggy.
I'm unable to complete mission due to the fact that after wolf taking some small damage its starting to digging under ground and not fighting any more. just digging and digging! And nor lowering game difficulty..., nor verifying game files nothing helped so far...

Apparently by reading this forum I've noticed that this bug in extended family lasts from December and yet is not solved, its a huge shame, because overall game is brilliant. So far game is over... its very sad when you pay money and you do not get decent quality... 😞

You need to fix this mission ASAP. Otherwise game not playable anymore... 😞

I have no clue if this is the right section for this kind of discussion, the problem i have is that when i do the first fight against fenrir he just keeps digging. After the first time he goes underground he comes up rather fast but then proceeds to go underground just seconds after and just starts to be underground for maybe 15 seconds and the pops up and immediatly goes underground again and never stops doing this. It's starting to get really anoying and i don't know how to get past this problem.

    Hello @ajeet664,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

Can you please verify your game files with this link? This will help you to eliminate any potentially corrupted files. If you're still experiencing this, can I kindly ask you to provide us with a short video of this occurring, so we can investigate it further for you?

Many thanks and if you have any additional questions, please let us know.

This is bug I have discovered related to the Lost Wolf boss in Asgard. Framerates above 60 fps on the PC version seem to lock the boss infinitely into its burrow animation. Turning on the framerate cap to 60 resolves the issue, but I would like to see this fixed.

    Hey there @Robbsinsky

Thank you for reporting this and for including a clip, it's appreciated!

Just to check, as this is the first report we've received of this kind, could you please try verifying the game's files?

This will ensure no files are missing or corrupted that may otherwise prevent elements of the game from working as normal.

Please let us know if there's any changes and we can make the team aware.

    Thank you!

    Hey @ubi-theberry

Yes. I'm getting the same result after verifying the game files.

I also made another video which could be of further help. Here is the boss' exit animation that is meant to play out at 60 fps; it could be tied to framerate.

Hope this helps and thank you for your quick reply.

Thanks for sharing those videos with us, @Robbsinsky! I'm glad to hear that capping the framerate to 60 FPS allows you to complete the fight in the meantime. I've shared these videos with the development team so they can take a closer look. I've also shared that capping the framerate resolved the issue for you.

If we require any additional information from you, we will reach out within this thread. In the meantime, please keep an eye out within the News & Announcements forum for any future updates.

    Thanks! 😊

I’m fighting the wolf in extended family and he keeps digging and circling then coming up and repeating over and over. I’ve reloaded saves and left the area so he comes up but when I re-enter he does it again

    Hey there.

Sorry to hear you've encountered this. The team are aware of this issue and it's under active investigation at the moment. In the meantime some players have reported that capping their FPS to 60 has helped to resolved this issue.

    Hi,

After damaging the wolf a bit, he keeps using his underground attack for ever..
Does any1 knowhow can pass this, or another update from Ubisoft is needed ?

So far tried reload, kill my character, bring the wolf to a lower hp with stun attack, nothing seems to work..

In the video below you can check it out.

hi ive saw posts on various websites dating to 2020 about the wolf boss spamming his dig ability (to the point where he is invincible and never has a phase where he ISNT immune to damage) in asgard, ive tried changing to 60hz but that didnt work and you would think after a year a patch would be made not just relying on bypasses?

Hey there @dirtynrg - welcome to Discussions! Thank you for sharing your report of this issue with the wolf boss battle in "Extended Family" with us, and I am sorry to hear that you have been experiencing difficulties with defeating the wolf.

Having watched your video, I did notice that you shot the wolf with arrows each time he surfaced. The wolf does not appear to be stuck underground, as other players have mentioned, but rather that it is using its digging attack / animation more frequently than is perhaps expected (which is something other players have also reported to us, and we are looking into this as well). Have you tried using alternative attacks on the wolf when it resurfaces, or waiting for it to move towards you before trying to deal damage?

Can you provide an additional video clip showing you trying different strategies, so that I can take a closer look into the behaviour of the wolf when you perform different actions? I can then forward this to the development team for review as well. Thank you! 🙂
