I took the mission called "nothing to hide".
At some point I had to hide and wait until I hear clues about the location of a prisoner, but I was detected, and I had to kill the enemies.
I did manage to save the prisoner and escort it out of captivity, and the mission was over.
However, the mission is still marked as active with no way to finish it:
Is there any way I can fix this?

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    Hey there.

Sorry to hear you've encountered this.

Is there nothing shown on the map still for this particular mission? If possible could you also provide a screenshot showing your map or even better a link to a video would be great if this is something you can provide. Thanks!

@ubi-orion Hello. As it happens, I managed to solve the issue, last night, purely by luck.

The problem was that I either died or teleported away right after rescuing the hostage.
Because of that, the phone call that marked the end of the mission (with the girl's mother) was NOT taken into account.

Last night, while I was hunting for achievements, I ended up at the farm where the girl was held hostage.
When I entered the area, a dialog audio by me was triggered, saying "your mother is worried, go home" or something along those lines.
And then the phone call took place again with the girl's mother. After the call ended, I got notified that the mission is completed.

Please be nice and pass the following to whoever is in charge of development:

You've already got reports of the autosaves not working properly and people losing progress because of them.
Even I had to get 2 USB sticks twice because the game crashed and the autosave screwed up.
Issues like this can prevent people from achieving the 100% completion.

It's imperative that you allow players to perform manual saves.
Even if we have to wait for a second or two for the data to be written, we need to have that option, to avoid cases like this.

I was lucky to have ended up back in the mission area, but I noticed this quest issue long after I completed the actual quest.
Had the manual save option be there, I would've gotten used to saving the game after each mission, making this situation less likely to happen.

It's going to be nearly impossible for some people to backtrack activities they did weeks or months back.
I know we can search walkthroughs on media sites, but we shouldn't be forced to rely on this sort of thing.
Full manual saves should remain a MUST.

Thanks very much for coming back to us about this issue with the Nothing to Hide Yaran Story, @heli0n_prime - it's good to hear that you'd managed to find a workaround to get it completed. I understand how a manual save during the mission would have been very useful in this case for figuring out what went wrong with it, and I've passed this feedback on.

I hope you've otherwise had a good time with the game 🙂 Let me know if you've any other thoughts or questions.
