Both my autosave slots are now occupied by a save which upon loading, the character immediately dies. Can't fast-travel, for whatever reason, so I'm just completely stuck. Any ideas on how to get out of it?

@ubi-viral i tested with a friend. sadly my friend spawns where i am and is also stuck in a deathloop. workaround does not work on my instance

Having same issue. Just died from falling when roaming around. Now stuck in death loop.

@studnoth1n Yeah, not having manual saves is bad in general.
But if there are bugs like here it is game breaking of course.
In bug ridden Valhalla it was Best Practice to make a manual save before each story arc so you could restart it if something broke.
Since story driven games can never be bug free it is outright silly to remove this workaround.

@studnoth1n Hope they will fix this; having the same issue and not really willing to start over again for this. Is there some cheat system / save file editor we can use to change our location?

@ubi-viral Easy way to fix with a game patch:
If player dies within 10 seconds after a reload then respawn in town next time.
Since this is game breaking it should be hotfixed.

But don't you see? It's more immersive that way, now you can experience the same frustration and despair the people of Yara feel, which drives them to escape to the USA.

@studnoth1n I hope they fix this before I destroy myself since I do tend to fall off cliffs at weird angles.

anyway, if i remember correctly, it was a plane crash the prompted the autosave overwrite. luckily that's a very rare and niche thing to do in a far cry game, so i'm sure the rest of the community is safe...

crazy idea, but how about in addition to reloading the most recent, unlucky autosave, give the option to respawn at the nearest fast-travel point?

Yeah, I don't understand it. Ubisoft has been getting really wonky with their decisions regarding save files.
At the very least keep the last three or so autosaves to avoid stuff like this.

@ubi-mercury yea i was wing diving and hit something now im just looped in a death same as the videos being sent.

@hamsterinbutt Hey! Sorry to hear that you are stuck in a death loop. As advised by @HunterOfGinger it is best to try and break this cycle by joining a co-op session or matchmake into a game.

Are you able to do either of these?
