@deddmeat I have the same issue. Ran great then I updated and now I get a black screen when i try to load the game. I get a screen resolution error saying my PC resolution isn't set right, but when I check, it is set to the right resolution. Very frustrating.
@deddmeat Same here with RTX 3080. Played 19h without problem, I patched today and now it's only black screen ...
Seems to be an increasingly common issue from today's update, the only way to fix it on your end would be verifying your game files from within Ubisoft Connect. Far Cry 6 > Properties > Verify files, the game will then have to redownload parts of the game after it verifies what files were problematic.
@davidvegax driver update done, comp restart done, trying to reinstall the game.
a rollback or another patch is required.
Since Ubisoft and their support suck hairy monkey ballz you go on reddit for solution. Verify game files. Either it didn't dl everything or there are corrupt files. Fixed mine black screen. gl all and never pay full price for ubisoft games again.
I have a high-end Nvidia-based computer that I just bought about a month ago. Far Cry 6 has been working absolutely perfectly for me for over 30 hours of game play, and now after loading today's patch (26 Oct 21), the game crashes every time it tries to load my saved game. I can't play the game at all now. PLEASE roll back to the previous version - you just disabled your own product !
@kyriwan Tried that too this game has numerous bugs it wasn't tested before launch which is quite obvious
I`ve managed to start the game only after full reload as patch was asking for space I do not have, obviously more than 40GB I have had on this SSD. I have to admit, beeing over 45h played - I start to get crashes/freezes, framerate drops w/o changing the graphical settings. So now I wonder was this caused by recent NVIDIA driver updates OR by patch. I do believe in second. Game really became slower for no obvious reason and stabillity first time became a troble for me as well.
I can't even start the game after update. Just black screen and that's all.
Ubisoft, why so trash? That's a shame!
@alexey_av84 Only if it finds corrupted files which mine hasn't done it three times once after the update
@digidietze Yes, I did that too and got the same error. But now it looks like it might be re-downloading the game? I turned "automatic updates" off now. I'm going to verify that a patch isn't corrupt before I update my game, since Ubisoft obviously isn't verifying their patches prior to release.
