  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

To save you some pain and frustration on a wild goose chase.

In theory, it could be your video card, computer, internet, windows version, drivers versions. Support will always point you at those and you might as well check them first. But having said that:

    • A lot of people have this issue.
    • It happens also when your personally controlled stuff is quite good.
    • The only common thing I see to connections where I crash is an "unidentified" server. When I get US East I hardly ever crash and when I get EU I rarely crash. When I get a connection icon with no location name it is very likely that I will crash.

My personal conclusion is that sometimes - for reasons beyond my comprehension - the game connects you to servers that are NOT the ideal ones for you, and in those cases either the server, the server's internet or the latency in the route to the server are so bad that they cause the game to crash.

I know you will say that other games you play, even massive multiplayer ones don't crash like this. It is true, but even those games used to be terrible, and eventually they figured out how to improve their network code so that it could cope with less than perfect servers, internet and even players PCs. Usually that happens with a game company when they get past the denial phase where they blame players and - at least internally - they recognize that the solution is really in their hands and start improving the network code. If so... it typically takes about a year.

So... I suggest patience and don't let the crashes frustrate you too much. Even with the crashes the game is too good to rage-quit it.

As much as I do like playing the game these issues are very frustrating. You don't even have to rage quit because the game will do it for you. Didn't have any major issues before but now I cannot play longer then 3-5 minutes before the game decides to go into suspended mode. Starting at the beginning of the current season. Since they can't even remember what they did (or said) at Massive reversing some changes seems to be impossible. Even opening menus now is a huge problem and causing the game to malfunction. It's becoming pathetic and truly looks like the work of amateurs.

When I first started playing, before WONY came out, zero Delta errors and crashes. Then after release of expansion the game has only gotten worse and worse. I expect that after their new 'ambicious' update the game will be completely broken and crashing issues will never get fixed. They should label this game as unstable in their store so people actually know what they are getting into. If they want players to buy their games as services at least have the decency to make sure the service is working properly. If that means a lot more server parks at different locations, so be it even if that is really expensive. They choose this model themselves not the players aka customers ...

I have a sloution that works for me. It may not work for everyone but it's worth a try. Instead of launching the game from the Ubisoft game launcher run the .exe file from the install folder as an administrator..... No more crashes. No driver updates, no messing with video setting, it's wasn't the PC, it was something in the game launch.

Or nothing works for you but you have got a good internet connection then try to access the game via GeForce NOW! 😅
Note: I am only using the free version of the GeForce NOW so every time I start the game I only get a 1 hour long session. 😅
Note: Still did not try this Admin running thing... Maybe I try it now! Go to install this game last time! 😅

Edit: First time the Admin running thingy worked...

@agentmikel I've tried every tip across forums and links. I can not get this game to play without stutter or crashing. I really like the game after buying it just over a month. Now it is completely unplayable. I am running GTX2060 so I know it isn't my comp. Looks like I'm not alone but hey, it's 2022, why would they put effort into fixing this?

Well... Today even with this running the EXE as admin thing, the game crashed for me... Uninstall... 😠
    Back to GeForce NOW! 😞

The game "crashes" every time, to the point of becoming unplayable
I don't understand why the studio hasn't dealt with this problem, I stopped playing for a while to see what happened, I come back and the same

I'll have to go again to see if they fix this, it's a shame, because I like the game
