Forgive me if I just haven't found the right combo of search terms to find this issue elsewhere. When playing Siege of Paris on PS4, I had the Legacy of Saint George Chapter 1 quest marker about finding the second clue pop up on the map during regular play. It was inside Villa of Amiens, which of course I couldn't enter at that point. I thought this was normal (maybe a new way to get the clue?), but found I couldn't find the clue anywhere. Once I finished Siege of Paris and returned to England (and now in my ps5 version on ps5), the quest popped up again, this time in the middle of Ledecestreshire (i.e., not even on a river this time). Traveling back to Francia, it appeared in the Villa again.

I haven't found a post anywhere on this topic, whether this is normal or a bug, so I'm stumped. The clues are only supposed to show up during river raids, right?

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Hey @r2smuse, thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear about the issue you ran into there.

After having a closer look, I was not able to find any similar reports, therefore for reproduction purposes, is there any possibility you could provide us with video footage showing this? If you enter the game, show where the marker appears when you're in Francia and then England and once you're ready, just simply press 'Share' button on your controller and save video footage, which can then be uploaded through PlayStation on YouTube and drop the link (URL) in this thread.

Let us know and we will take it from there!

@ubi-karl Thanks for your response! I hope this doesn't mean I've just done something dumb. Below are some quick captures from my PS5, altho I first noticed the problem on my PS4 in Francia before I imported. First time sharing gameplay this way, so I hope it worked and is helpful.

Now, I haven't gotten very far with the river raids, but I've completed the base game and all DLCs so far. I first noticed it mid-way through first playthrough of Siege of Paris. Let me know if you need other information.

    Part 1:

Showing the location of the map marker in Ledecestrescire, England, for the Legacy of St George armor clue (1/2) that shows up in the middle of the countryside. Then, I travel there and there seems to be nothing.

    Part 2:

Same thing in Francia, inside Chateau Amiens, where there's a marker, but no clue that I can find.

    Part 3:

Same thing, but in Ulster, Ireland.

@r2smuse Perfect! Thank you so much for those video clips. I'll be glad to get this passed along for you! The team will also want to take a look at your save files, so would you ensure that they're uploaded to the cloud as well? Let me know when you've done so!

@ubistorm Sure! Just did a new manual save to the cloud, incidentally before I let it update with the new patch today.

    Thanks again.

I have the exact same issue like OP.
2 quest markers of the Saint George quest are visible on my normal map (near the settlement). They are also on the new map of the Odyssey crossover stories. My game save is uploaded on the cloud, my game is up to date & I always play online. The markers won't go away & when I go close to them, there is nothing for me to do 😞

I also had this, because I'm new to the game i wasn't sure if this was meant to happen, it popped up as a quest in my location, that I could hold START (on controller) to make it my active quest. I couldn't find it though when I selected it, and now I've seen this then if it's not meant to happen I know why.

@ubi-karl I have this exact same problem, but furthermore, I cannot even speak to Vagn. Restarting the game, changing Eivor's gender, or exiting and entering the Animus do not work.

Hi all, thanks for contributing to this thread.

To help investigate this issue, I'd like to get some more information. Do any of you recall what you did just before this issue appeared? Are all of you except @Weirdperson31 able to speak to Vagn?

Same here. Took me to an empty field in Ledecestrescire.

@ubi-karl Was this issue ever resolved? Many months later and I'm having this issue in multiple locations across continents. Right now I'm playing the Ireland portion and have Quest Markers taking me to random places nowhere near rivers or encampment. Just curious if I missed something.
