According to Ubisoft's description (https://www.ubisoft.com/en-us/help/the-division/article/delta-c-1-200-error-in-the-division/000061591), the DELTA C-1-200 error happens when trying to connect to the Public Test Server and there is no testing phase occurring.

But... I never tried to connect to the PTS, all I use is a standard default install. And yet, every now and then I get this error, usually for an extended period of time before it fixes itself.

    Notes that might be relevant:

    • Game was originally purchased through Steam.
    • I launch the game from Ubisoft Connect, as it is a more reliable way to launch than from Steam.
    • I already verified game files.
    • The game works fine most of the time... except for the infamous occasional freeze/crash issue that a lot of players have, and frequently getting connected to bad servers on the first try instead of the more reliable (for me) US-East ones.

Does anybody know how to avoid/correct it?

Is there a way to verify what server farm is the game trying to connect me to, and maybe how to override it so that I can connect to a different one when needed?

@xmdead you're getting that error because it's the weekly maintenance I got kicked at 9am as it started and got that error msg

@xmdead i am unable to connect to division 1 servers. same exact error. i am guessing the game is down, but no way to tell ubisoft. i hope they extend the public event as a result of this outage. i am connecting direct from ubisoft connect and not using steam at all. but there is no server status for division 1 because they want everyone to move to division 2 and play that.

of course i cant find anywhere to check division 1 status not division 2 which i dont like and dont play. nor even find any link now to maintenance posts, so i have no clue whats with that. division 1 only got monthly maintenance; i doubt they are doing maintenance by choice in the middle of a global event. otherwise they need to extend the event by a day.

i dont like division 2. setting was their first mistake; empty city in an empty world, post apocalypse. there wont be any power or organised govt so no ISAC so no agents. gadgets wouldnt work. there wouldnt be the gang factions, because everyone would be growing food in susbsitence farming. travel would be impossible. the black tusk wouldnt exist. then after you do the final mission, the map is filled with action. that in itself is welcome but it is so jarring that this empty world can suddenly feel so full of enemies. you cant have it both ways.
so the whole premise of the sequel doesnt make sense and thats the first problem i had with it.

second is warlords dlc. making a dlc impossible to return from and locking the extra levels behind killing the bad guy at the end locking away the stuff you paid for doesnt make sense. i have ZERO desire to play the dlc i paid for, and certainly wont buy any others after that fiasco of being unable to kill keener. i ended up deleting that trapped agent and then i didnt play so long i uninstalled the game. remove the inability to go back to washington and level up if you cant complete warlords.

3rd with division 2, the uber classes. they listened to the Call of Duty clowns who whined about there being no specialisations for the pvp. because CoD players dotn realise CoD style games are not the only way games can be. these are the same people in both division games who when i tell in dark zone 'not interested in pvp' say 'well dont enter the pvp zone' because they assume thats what it is and dont bother reading up on the games, so dont understand anything like pvevp areas. if it isnt fortnite/CoD then they dont get it.
the beauty of division was the ability to flip 'classes' and complete customisation at any time on skills. the uber classes (if they worked, and they dont) fix that in stone. you can only upgrade one of them fully. you lock your agent into one uber class forever, only allowed 4 agents and there are about 8 ubers. i know they are 'revamping' them but the best plan would be make the div 2 basic system more like div 1 and scrap the specialisations altogether. revamp is code for 'we messed it up'.

oh and the system for linking up with other agents is bad in division 2. matchmaking never worked. by the time i responded to a call for aid, there was no agent there to aid. i gave up trying in div 2 early on. division 1 did it better, but last time i tried matchmaking in division 1, started the mission in div 1 because waiting to find other agents just didnt happen. so i wound up soloing all the missions yet again because of low player numbers in division 1.

but since division 2 is their baby now, division 1 can have servers go down and all we can get is server status for division 2, which is apparently fine. although i notice that i keep losing connection to these forums, which worries me. maybe the whole of ubisoft is currently being attacked, or they have a massive hardware problem.

    Ty.

Maybe they need to fix the web page that describes the error. LOL. It would take all of 5 minutes by the most junior of their web developers.

And thank YOU for monitoring the forums. It is good to see that you are looking at the comments and passing the info on to the developers. It builds trust. Some of us know that Ubi tends to handle things better than most other development conglomerates, but it is not obvious to players stuck with a problem for months (yep, I know that there are high costs attached to deploying updates to consoles - which is important when the codebase is shared across all platforms - but the average player does not understand the reason for the delays). Heck, even I forget at times when frustrated by a problem.

Hey @XMdead, appreciate your input and sorry to hear about the multiple issues you have been experiencing.

Would I be able to kindly check a few things with you:

    1. Do you happen to experience Delta error outside weekly maintenance hours? Does it persist to this day?
    2. Would you be able to elaborate on the occasional freeze/crash issue you've brought up? Also, for troubleshooting purposes, taking into account that you've already verified your game files, did you try going through the rest of the steps mentioned in this article? If you haven't, give it a go and see whether problem continues to persist.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

The Delta error is not a huge problem for me. I've seen it - as expected - during maintenance windows and when my own internet drops (I use PingPlotter to monitor that), but I also on rare occasions see it at other times... even during prime time. My guess for those "occasional" drops is that it is either Ubi's internet or server having issues, or that the problem is somewhere in the path between my ISP and Ubi's.

For other freezes/CTDs I did follow those steps except for running *** a game!!! *** as admin, I'd never do that with any game. I have little fear of Ubi abusing such trust but there are very popular games from less than trustworthy countries like Belarussia, so it is best to be safe and not grant Admin rights to any game.

In those frezes/CTDs there is no error message. It is a VERY well known issue, reported over several years by the community. I think someone even tracked down some error messages in the Window Event Logs and reported it in some other thread in the forums - that you or another Ubi staff read and responded to. Your developers should be aware of it and I hope they already wrote some code to try and detect the issue on the client end... so that it can report the details that cause it. I only know of it happening on PC, but for all I know it happens in the other platforms as well.

If you have someone that wants to work with me I'd be happy to help troubleshoot the issue under controlled conditions. I just ask that it be someone more skilled than your tier 1 support people... regarding this issue they just don't have the skills to help.

Since last month, the whole territory has been blocked 1. After logging in, the red error code box is always displayed. I've tried all the methods, but they haven't been solved. I hope relevant personnel can help me.

Hi @XMdead @assassinsxy apologies for the late response.

@XMdead If you do still encounter the Delta C-1-200 error then I would recommend going through the connectivity troubleshooting to see if that helps.

With regards to the freezing/crashing issues we can investigate this further for you by creating a support case and obtaining a copy of your system files. Would you like us to create a support case for you?

@ASSASSINSXY I have merged your post with this existing thread. This error code can be shown when the server is down for maintenance or if you are trying to access the public test server.

Can you confirm if you are still experiencing the Delta C-1-200 error? If so please ensure you are launching the game and not the public test server (PTS). However if the issue persists can you go through the connectivity troubleshooting and try again to see if that helps.

I have not seen the Delta C-1-200 outside of maintenance windows in quite a while. I'd say it is fixed.

For the freezing/crashing it is bearable at the moment but definitely not fixed. From every test I've done (I have decades of experience in the field) my assesment is that the issue is with either the servers or (more likely) the code used to communicate between client and servers not being "sturdy enough" and failing when the internet blips (heck, even your website suffers from it, but it recovers). I would be happy to work with a developer that is interested in really resolving the issue, but TBH I don't want to waste my time with a standard support ticket as they would just ask me to do dumb "feel good" stuff I've already done and leads nowhere. Feel free to contact me directly either as a PM in this forum or through my email that is registered in your system.

Oh... I just remembered something. You guys are in Canada. If any of the game communication has to bounce all the way to Canada (even with local game servers) AND you use GTE as your carrier... they are infamous for using their own over-saturated network instead of the normal internet backbones. That could explain a LOT of the issues that your games have. I know, a wild shot in the dark... but something to consider if I guessed right.

Hello @XMdead thanks for sharing your experience of this Delta error code and when you have experienced it. I am happy to hear it has not affected you for some time now.

Should you experience this error code again, please let us know, same as anyone else who happens to be experiencing this issue, we would definitely like to open a support case for you, should this issue persist.

We would need to run through some of the most common connectivity troubleshooting fixes first, then should this fail to resolve this particular error code, we would then ask you for your traceroute and ports set up which we would forward onto our Division team and escalate your case for further investigation and testing.

Let us know in this thread should the Delta C-1-200 affect you again.

Thanks but I will pass then.

For me security comes above gaming, and the "standard steps" include dangerous steps like turning off the firewall (even temporarily) and changes to routing configuration like opening extra ports and portforwarding.

Not only it has been a decade or two since properly built games stopped needing things like special firewall or router configuration, but in the current hacking and ransomware internet environment it is extremely reckless to do such things.

And as I mentioned, these kinds of repeatable crashes happen to me only with Ubi games. It is sad for my already purchases games, but for the long term there is no shortage of games out there without these problems. It really is Ubi's choice whether they want to keep their head in the sand or whether they want to try to identify what is at the core of the problem and modify their games to make them immune to the problem. As customers all we can do is offer to help and give our time... if we see enough commitment on Ubi's side, and asking us to start (for the nth time) with your support script inadequately trained paper pushers is NOT a sign of interest towards solving the long term problem, it is a sign of just wanting to pacify the crowd and ignoring the real issues. Sorry, but that does not make it worth for me to give time to it.

@ubi-milky I use two systems, a desktop and a laptop, both exhibiting the same issues. Both are full SSD systems and until a day ago both were windows 10, the laptop just got updated to windows 11.

I will collect and post the laptop details in the next couple days and the desktop in a week. I will ask a friend with whom I play and experiences the same issue. Between us we will be able to give you results in a week covering England, US and South American gameplay.

I am getting the error for two days now. I first got it while playing, the game just crashed throwing this error.
Ever since, I am getting the error on game launch. I seems to be trying to connect to my profile and then crash.

I looked it up on the forums and followed the instructions there: I have restarted the console, I have switched to a wired connection with an open NAT type, nothing seems to work.

Considering this was working fine and it just crashed while playing without any changes to network or config on my side, I seriously doubt this would have a local cause.

Please help get this working again.

    Thank you,
    Cosmin
