I am really enjoying the game, as usual, because I feel the team who creates these games have a very good idea of what they're doing. I also like that you've changed lots of gameplay mechanics around in each iteration. Most notably, I was excited by the new functionality in New Dawn with creating things and different levels of bad guys, etc.

While I think it makes sense that certain types of clothing would give you protection and/or benefits in certain types of situations, and while Dani comes out of the box with skills that would normally take awhile to get in other iterations, I find myself ignoring the majority of clothing I'm picking up. Pretty much once I find the parkour clothing and the scarf that allows frontal takedowns, I'm done, even though I keep looking for loot boxes throughout the game to complete my collection and just in case there's something I haven't discovered yet (I try to stay off the Internet about "best weapons to get" and "best gear to get" and instead might use it from time to time if I encounter, say, a hatch that looks like it should open but I can't find out how to open it or any alternative entrances (like the Tempested lighthouse)).

I would love to see a hybrid model that has both a skill tree and item-based customization for guns and clothing. I'd also love to see fishing make a comeback (thank you SO MUCH for getting rid of the Farcry 5 fisherman vendor who would ask me incessantly "Hey, got a minute?") and plant gathering. . .

Anyway, it's a great game, thank you. And please let me know when my feedback of having a Syrian hamster pet (he only comes out at night!) will see the light of day.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
