Can Anyone Explain How the Memento Damage Increase Works?0 Likes/3 Replies/129 ViewsOriginal poster Aced_100 121 posts
Been using the Memento for a while and as I see it if you pick up 30 of the trophy's at least you should have a 30% increase in damage, no matter how many trophy's I grab I only get about a 20% increase.
For example if my SMG has around 125k base damage and I then get the max amount of trophy's I can only get it up to around 150k when if it had a 30% increase it would be 162.5k.
Can someone explain exactly how this buff works?

It's additive with all your other 'weapon damage' buffs - eg if you've got 6 fully rolled red cores on your gear, another on your active weapon and another 15% in your specialisation perks, that's +120% weapon damage already. 30% from Memento increases that to 150% bonus damage total, which is only about a 15% increase. Same with brands like Fenris, that extra AR damage is additive with the rest of your weapon damage bonus. Total weapon damage is a different multiplier, which is why talents like vigilance are popular.
Edit: Forgot to account for the base 100% damage you do. If your actual weapon before any bonuses was doing 100 damage, that initial all-red build would take it up to 220 damage (100% base damage + 120% bonus damage), then Memento would increase it to 250 damage, so only a less than 8% improvement.
