Previously, an earlier thread noted the problem of missing dialogue from the opening cutscene. Well, it looks like there’s a similar problem with the concluding cutscene as well. As soon as I noticed that Eivor wasn’t speaking, I started recording. We’ve seen this kind of bug in the last festival, but to miss out on the ending like this is a real bummer. I’m playing on my XBox Series X and have no Internet or technical issues.

Does anyone have a clip of what Eivor says? I’d like to know what I missed out on.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@thenorfolkian the start of the festival looked like this for me.

@thenorfolkian the same thing happened for me. Also the sounds are gone in raventhorpe as well since update 1.4.0. And there is no dialog from Reda when speaking to him.

Also the game. Crashes and goes back to the XBOX Dashboard since the recent update as well.

the sound bug really spoiled the end cutscene from the festival for me.

I am playing on PC. As I mentioned in another thread after 1.4.0 Update I encountered this bug not only in festival cutscene but also in the main mission "A Noble Escort".
    It never happened before 1.4.0.

@magpye I noticed that too. Yesterday I thought it was a fluke glitch that Reda stopped talking back, but it happened again today, so there’s definitely more to this bug than initially perceived.

@vykyng666 It seems the real culprit is TU 1.4.0, and the festival update only made things worse.

@vykyng666 To be fair, the festival is free content... we technically did not pay for it.

I first got this bug on main quest "A Noble Escort" on the same day 1.4.0 update rolled out.
Are you suggesting I should downgrade my game to the previous patch?
    Ok. Downgraded.
Now I am on 1.3...something and I have a constant "avenge quest" notification. Thank you very much.
    Ok. Another downgrade.
1.2 Now my "F" key is useless.

Can you tell me "Mr. Technical" which version should I downgrade to in order to play not buggy version of the game and is it even possible to downgrade if I have purchased it digitally from Ubisoft?

I had exactly the same problem but....

    • 1 single PS4 pro owned (up-to-date)
    • Valhalla (up-to-date) intalled on the internal SSD
    • Account 1 : "[Bug/Glitch] Eivor is Silent During Oskoreia Conclusion"
    • Account 2 : No problem ...

    Really strange....

Note for Ubi : when an account is active, the other one is never enabled, even in background, that's my choice to avoid conflicts

@vykyng666 I was talking about the festival being free.

@thenorfolkian ... and I was complaining about game being buggy.
Let us not play word games anymore but focus on trying to make @UBIGUYS notice our disappointment. If we create a lot of traffic in this audio bug related threads, they might notice us and respond.

Just reporting that festival ending cutscene played normally for me. Let's see what happens when I return to main quest.

@vykyng666 Complaining is fine. Just make sure you address your complaints to an actual Ubi-person, like @Ubi-Borealis.

I just did that like a few posts ago. Scroll up and you can see that I addressed every Ubiguy that I have seen active in other Valhalla threads recently.
Now could every one of you watching this or other audio bug related thread that I mentioned before be so kind and address them.
Let's give them @ubicall and maybe somebody will respond.

    Hey all,

Just to let you all know, I have forwarded information on about this and the opening cutscene issue to the game team to help them look into another similar issue.

As always, thanks for your reports and I apologise for any inconvenience caused if you were affected by either or both issues.
