    Oskoreia Season and Tombs of the Fallen (PC) - Reda does not have a voice. I can interact, get contracts and buy items, but Reda has no voice. Just waves his hands.

    edit: Reda only speaks when I ask what he does here. Otherwise silent.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    Same for me (PS4 pro),
    but, as I already spent hours on this game, it's not a problem for me : I like it as it is now 🙂
    Still can be problematic for people who are at the beginning of the game, or simply like to have the voice 🙂

    Yup, Reda does not speak to me either. I feel kinda bad that he's mute now (but I would have been mashing the skip button anyway! Sorry, Reda! 😄)

    That's one bug I am really thankful for. Ubisoft, please DO NOT fix this.
    Stop complaining guys and be happy for that 🙂

    .... but seriously it could be related to voice and subtitles missing in cutscenes for random characters in random places.
    Take a look at these threads:

    I think the reason that players reporting focus on festival cutscenes and Raventhorpe interactions is because most of us have already finished everything else.
    I am in the middle of the main quest and so far (after 1.4.0 update) I noticed the bug in main quest "A Noble Escort" first cutscene by Raventhorpe docks and in festival beginning cutscene. It seems that it may not be solely related to cutscenes but to normal dialogues as well.
    I will play more and see.

    The subtitles are also missing when Reda is silent.

    Reporting. I continued "A Noble Escort" and did "Homecoming" quest in Lincolnshire. There were a few cutscenes but the bug DID NOT APPEAR. I also killed one order member and one Zealot and the cutscenes played normally.
    Maybe the bug is gone (at least for me) or maybe it is only contained to Ravensthorpe.

    Hey everyone!

    I'm happy to check into this. I have some questions for everyone, you can answer them in this format if you'd like.

    1) When did you first notice the audio was missing?

    2) If you play a different save file, are you able to hear Reda speak?

    3) Are you having any other issues with audio when you play?

    Thank you all! Please feel free to add any relevant details as well.

    @ubimint

    Owned = 1 single PS4 pro
    Accounts = 2
    Accounts use = Never openned at the same time : I quit an account and shut down the PS4 before Restarting on the other account

    • 2021 November the 9th, 7:51 PM (Paris hour) = instalation of Valhalla Patch : 1.4.0 (BDD reconstruction done)

    1) When did you first notice the audio was missing?

    Accounts 1 & 2

    • 2021 November the 12th = very first launch after instalation of Valhalla Patch : 1.4.0

    = Reda : no lip mouvements + no sound
    = Ravensthorpe : at some places the sound is partialy muted (earing only Eivors' footsteps) : example : near the fisherman hut

    2) If you play a different save file, are you able to hear Reda speak?
    • Playing 2 accounts doesn't make any difference, so I won't test more

    3) Are you having any other issues with audio when you play?
    • as mentionned few lines before for both accounts and only since the festival = Ravensthorpe : at some places the sound is partialy muted (earing only Eivors' footsteps) : example : near the fisherman hut
    • Specific :
    1. Account 1 : Cinematic (kind of festival end) with dialogs and subtitles skipped by the game
    2. Account 2 : Cinematic (kind of festival end) = no single problem

    I give all of this just as information for the team : I like the silent Reda bug 🙂

    Account 1 : azullFR (Cloud Save file ready to use by Ubi)
    Account 2 : a2ullFR (Cloud Save file ready to use by Ubi)

    3. Eivor's footsteps in cave with Oden's eye (footstep sounds intermittent)
