Quick Suggestions

I noticed I could not interact with my stash box first. Then it was not being able to use the X button. So I could not fast travel or interact with anything in Haven that requires holding X down. I went to try to run outside to see if it was just the see if there were any other issues. I found hitting the X reloads but using skills I could launch them but could not hold it down to cancel. Seems the game is not recognizing that I’m holding a button down.

Another problem I’ve been encountering is once I go to a party chat and leave, I no longer have the sound of shooting and some other sound effects are completely gone. I’ll hear people die but not the shooting or even hear getting shot. I’ve looked at the sound settings and switched back to default but still nothing. I’ve tried restarting but does not help. Any suggestions?

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Severe input registry malfunctions such as this (inc. inability to access inventory, map, and/or other menus) will occur sporadically and are the result of poor coding. The solution is to kill the game (ie. Alt-F4) and restart.

Sound issues have various triggers and particulars. Some are [external] environmentally static and can be eliminated by leaving the area 'on foot', by porting, or by server change; some may despawn once outside rendering range, while others may not. Other sound issues [internal] 'attach' to your character, and may similarly require porting or a server change, and ultimately, killing the game (ie. Alt-F4) and restarting.

Beyond that, the only other advice I can give is that if you become aware of any chronic triggers, avoid them as best as you can, where possible.

@v4mpir1 thanks but I’m playing on a Xbox X and have restarted. Even with the sound, I’ll turn off the Xbox for the night, turn back on and it is the same for multiple days.
