Where the wait simply isnt worth the result regardless. And that passed months ago.
Imagine working on an update for a year+. And it still being underwhelming when it releases. Which it will be 100%
This game isnt and never will be a fine wine with these "developers".

this is very true , the more they F up the better we expect them to deliver , at this point even if it was golden it wouldnt be enough from my POV too , taking into account we will have to pay for the update when and if it comes , if it was free then we couldnt complain much. -

It's not the developers tho... it's starting at the Ubi's very top management, that where the decisions are made, who works on what and how much. Also that's where is decided how much we get to know about how things are going.
Massive demonstrated with both D1 and D2 that when they are allowed to put the time and effort into something, the results are great. That's why we care and we keep playing these games. And why we get so frustrated with the current situation.
Simply put, most part of Massive are working on other projects... and not many have the time (or are even allowed) to work on D2.
