I just want to thank Ubisoft for 1.4.1, the bugfixes may not have affected everyone but they turned this game from almost unplayable (missing dialog and broken cutscenes, many crashes thanks to audio) into a working game again here.

It’s also really nice to see arrows fly in the normal direction rather than sideways and particles face the camera and look good now.

Now a request again - please add a “darkest night” option like in breakpoint to reduce sky/ambient and moon brightness by at least 2 clicks at night time (see GTA/RDRD for a good levels difference). Only those elements though, so not an overall brightness control just the direct moonlight light source and sky ambient light brightness at night, torches and their penumbra and lit interiors are where they should be.

It’s OK if it’s dark and murky and desaturated at night with high contrast of human light source, we have a torch but never get to use it except to set things on fire, I’m ok with bringing it out. Every time I play I’m left saddened that it’s so beautiful all day from dawn till dusk but then is such a missed opportunity at night, it would be so beautiful if that skylight and moonlight were about 2 brightness points lower, you can imagine it with the bright lights of towns and settlements in the distance, the hills looming in and out of the mist.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Ah, unfortunately the “it goes boom” quest is still broken.

The new difficulty settings are also broken and constantly reset back to “custom” on reload even if you don’t change a slider, and custom always means “easy”. Seems to be a state issue.

Level scaling on anything other than normal breaks Redas quests (they now appear in the shop but when you select them they do not get added to your own quest list). Should be easy to test and fix, but it’s just gone up in importance as a low hanging fruit because now difficulty is tied to level scaling so everyone wanting to play on anything other than easy mode will experience this.

The camera seems to want to go through obstacles and the floor a lot more during finishers now (add a vertical Ray cast and in the direction of travel on spawn and just push the camera Up for the start point and inwards on end based on the results.

I agree with you. In its current form, the difficulty settings are a total mess. Low difficulty means zero scaling of opponents, high difficulty - maximum scaling, as well as changing the targeting aid parameter, also crashes the selected difficulty level. Probably no one seriously tested it, since it came into our hands in this form. At the moment, the game mechanics are some kind of misunderstanding.
