The drink of the Picts quest on the Isle of Skye is bugged - the NPC says his bit about losing a list, I go in the house and find the list. Fine. I say I have the list, he says go collect stuff...so I do. But on returning to him, I just get the same dialogue "could you collect these for me"

I have tried only collecting one of each item. Tried collecting 10 fireflies. I have tried meditating during the quest. Tried arriving at night so no meditation. Tried loading saves from hours previous and trying again from scratch. Tried fast travelling. Tried setting his house on fire. Tried running him over with a horse. Tried approaching from each point on the compass. Tried rebooting. Tried pulling plugs midgame.

Could do with a hint or some help please!

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@scottishblood01 Did you try collecting 2 Barley?

I played most of the content last tuesday. I passed by that guy & figured his list was a recipe for Scotch Whisky. I wasn't entirely surprised that his accent was English, or possibly saxon or Dane. They just couldn't find 1 Scots actor for any of the Isle of Skye content?!

Anyhow, I completed the main story, along with anything collectible same day, but I left the drink of the Picts until a couple of days later. I think the recipe was 1 wheat, 2 Barley & 1 Firefly.

@thegardener25 Hey thanks very much for that, I'll try it tomorrow - been driving me mental, thought I'd tried every combo possible! Fingers crossed.

And yes. The accents and general disregard for Highland culture was deeply culturally insensitive... I know it's historical fiction and cockneys also featured heavily in Jerusalem (ahhh AC1!), but given the number of Scots killed or forced to emigrate by the English during the clearances in the Highlands and Islands, I was gutted to see my culture so obliterated.

Ach well, at least it looks stunning, they got something right 😉 will focus on that.

    Cheers again
