Well.... At least I can access this game via the GeForce NOW!
While sometimes it is lagging for me, but at least there is no crashes. Still no crashes..... Yet...
Notes:
Free version of GF NOW only allows you to play 1 hour per session... after that you must search for a new session again...
Your games (and your agents) can be sync from Ubisoft Connect so if you had already bought the game in Ubisoft then you can freely play it via GF NOW.
As of making screenshots you can use the Windows + PrintScreen buttons.
I have a sloution that works for me. It may not work for everyone but it's worth a try. Instead of launching the game from the Ubisoft game launcher run the .exe file from the install folder as an administrator..... No more crashes. No driver updates, no messing with video setting, it's wasn't the PC, it was something in the game launch.
Or nothing works for you but you have got a good internet connection then try to access the game via GeForce NOW!
Note: I am only using the free version of the GeForce NOW so every time I start the game I only get a 1 hour long session.
Note: Still did not try this Admin running thing... Maybe I try it now! Go to install this game last time!
Edit: First time the Admin running thingy worked...
@agentmikel I've tried every tip across forums and links. I can not get this game to play without stutter or crashing. I really like the game after buying it just over a month. Now it is completely unplayable. I am running GTX2060 so I know it isn't my comp. Looks like I'm not alone but hey, it's 2022, why would they put effort into fixing this?
@bonelesschild
Well... Today even with this running the EXE as admin thing, the game crashed for me... Uninstall...
Back to GeForce NOW!
The game "crashes" every time, to the point of becoming unplayable
I don't understand why the studio hasn't dealt with this problem, I stopped playing for a while to see what happened, I come back and the same
I'll have to go again to see if they fix this, it's a shame, because I like the game
OS: Windows 10
Graphics Card: Radeon 5700 XT, Driver 22.1.2
@navigator_ita80 Tried this and so far two full days of gameplay with no problems. Fingers crossed this will get me through untill this thing gets fixed.
Thanks for this.
@navigator_ita80 thanks again but this did not help after 15 minutes game started doing the same thing
@tony_the_shark7 Really sorry to hear this. Whatever is causing this obviously depends on players different system builds which is why it is extremely important for the developer to put a high priority on sorting this problem out. I have been playing this game with a couple of breaks since beta and never experienced this length of time waiting for action on such a game breaking issue. Very disappointed in Ubisoft/Massive over this.
@tony_the_shark7 Just a thought, have you tried to set Easy Anticheat to just core #1 each time you log in to TD2 "in addition" to running in compatibility mode?
@f-i-x-e-r I tried that and it's not fixing the problem. I've tried almost every work around mentioned on the forums, reddit, Discord.... the issue is in the game code. Nothing is working. Crash once a day, or once a session, or three times in one hour. Game freezes and screen minimizes.
@bittexin Yeah, after two days crash free I had a hard freeze and had to three finger salute out of the game. The rest of the day was OK, but I do agree there is no real permanent workaround for this and needs fixing by the developers. As mentioned earlier, not impressed with Ubisoft on this one.
