  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    Hey @sJEFdeGlyve, thanks for getting through to us and apologies about the delayed response from our team.

    I am unsure whether the change was intended there, however so that we could forward it over to our development team for further review, is there any chance you could provide us with your save file where the limits are as proposed?

    By default, your save files should be located in %userprofile%\Documents\Anno 1800\accounts. Once located, if you could upload it to any file sharing website and send us over the link, if possible.

    Keep us updated and if you have any further queries, let us know!

    Hello, I've got this same bug but I have a little bit less modules available to me.
    Here's my save file https://ufile.io/bb03m1wm: (https://ufile.io/bb03m1wm) (expires in 30 days!).

    I've also got a bug where, if I have more than 10 available contracts, then I can't change the amount of goods to import/export in the top 2 contracts. This doesn't happen when you first load up the game, but after a while it's there. My only workaround is to limit myself to 10 contracts for now.
    I've tried verifying the integrity of my game files, going from fullscreen to windowed, using the cycling through islands docklands within the import/export ui workabout, but none of these have made a difference for me.

    Thanks, Aaron

    @tsundak Hello there!

    Thanks for posting, and providing this save file for us.

    Would you be able to confirm exactly which limits you're seeing on your modules, if they differ slightly from the ones posted by @sJEFdeGlyve ?

    In regard to your issue with not being able to change the amount of goods, we've responded to you in this thread!

    If you have any additional questions, please be in touch.

    @ubi-nacho Hello!

    You're welcome, I hope it helps.

    My module limits are:
    Depots = 21
    Piers = 12
    Repair Cranes = 9
    Harbourmasters = 8
    Loading Wharfs = 13
    Exports Offices = 11

    In regards to my issue with not being able to change the amount of goods, I'll reply in the other thread that is addressing that issue.

    Thank you

    @ubi-nacho I think I may have misunderstood how the module limits increase.

    I've just got another good to level up to specialty export level uncommon within a specialty export slot that other goods have surpassed and my limit increased.

    I thought that a specialty export good that has upgraded and filled a higher level specialty export slot would still have the previous slots module limit increase enabled, but it doesn't seem to work that way.

    I've got 2 more specialty export slots to fill, I will fill them and report my findings.

    @ubi-nacho The module limit is working fine.

    I'm now at:
    Depots = 25
    Piers = 14
    Repair Cranes = 10
    Harbourmasters = 9
    Loading Wharfs = 15
    Exports Offices = 13

    I was just a bit confused about how it works but all good! 🙂
