After thousands of crashes, everyday 5/6 crashes until I quit playing in that way, yesterday I have seen someone on reddit talking about it, I tested and I've played every afternoon and at night and didn't crash anymore I'll test for a few days and see.
What I did...in game in audio config, switch music volume and dialogue volume to 0. I only have SFX volume on.
I don't understand what is it about but since I did that the game never crashed again.

I´m expierencing crashes to windowed mode and then I need to force the game to close via task mangager.
This problem started to occure with TU 14.
In my testing to this problem I got to the conclusion, that the crashes most likely occure with much explosions are happening in the gamplay, which lead to massive frame drops and (in my case) to an 60% chance of crashing. I usually run with solit 70 FPS the drops go down to sometimes 15 FPS that last for 1,5 seconds. Locking the FPS to 60 didn´t help.

I took the same trubbleshooting tips as my fellow commentators in this threat, with litte to no effect.
On occasion the game chrashes while im idel in the White House.

I dialed down the Graphicsettings to the lowest options, got rid of all particals effects etc.
    Things didn´t change.
Me and my squad did some testing, if the serverconnection has something to do with is, but everythiing seems inconclusive. It still feels like RNG, who chrashes next.
Sadly, the patches TU15 and TU15.1 didn´t change anything in that department.

Sidenote: During "Countdown" the chrashes are much more frequent. We played played 10 Round of countdown and only 2 times none of the 2 subgroupes disconnected/chrased. I myself chrased 3 times. Once it directly occured when I "pressed C for Push to Talk". If that has something to do with it, can not be verified.

My last test was to take my Hardware out of the equation. So I stared playing via NVIDIA NOW. I figured that those rigs should have enough potential to run the game without a hitch. I´m connected via ethernet cable inside a gigbit network with 100MB/sec. down and 40MB/sec up. Which according to any requirements should be enough to the trick. I also used the competitive settings to take highend polished grafics out or the mix.

Sadly again, the same chrashes occure whithin the same circumstances. I can´t imagine why that is.
I took the liberty to play other UBISOFT IPs like GR Wildlands, GR Breakpoint, Division 1, AC Origins, AC Oddessy as sort of a controllgroup. All of them run like a charm. No difference between NVIDIA NOW or my PC.

Bottom line: As far as my understanding/obvervations goes, the reason for those crashes are in a place where I (as a user) can´t do anything via my settings.
Everything seems illusive at this point.

So, I plead for some deep dive by the DEVs to fix this, cause the fun of playing this game is on a downward spiral.

Recommending the same old troobleshooting articles which have been prooven ineffectiv for a long time now by multiple players will not fix anything.
I hope Ubisoft will find their AGame to keep dedicated players like me and my squad. FYI: We play on a daily bases for min. 4 hours. If that is not dedication, then what is?

@pt_frizzer already have music and dialogue turned off, have had it like this for 2 years. Still crashes for me. Hope your fix works for someone though, because this game is dying!

That is the problem from UBISOFT they dont care about game is crashing: doing a ticket with help support changes nothing. You get the same response: turn off every program from your computer for the game to run propetly is your pc fault not our "GAME" You are right this problem is from TDU4 , i play this game from day 1 i had not problems before tdu4 .

@strangepepper OK, the way I got it working was just unbelievable - it's something so unexpected & unintuitive that I wouldn't think of, like, EVER if I haven't found it by accident. So, someone posted a similar epilepsy warning freeze'n'crash issue in Anno 1800 (AFAIR I found it here on forums), and the way things got resolved was to change the system date to 01/01/2021.
Well, it worked in my case here just as good. First, I did change the date, got past the epilepsy warning screen, and had an error message "Something something Ubisoft servers could not be reached" (or smth like that). Then I changed the date back to present day, restarted the UConnect and the game, and voila - everything now works fine & online!
UPD: my memory served my bad since it wasn't posted on these forums, but on reddit instead (at least the one I was talking about): redd.it/ok5cvm.

Hey there everyone, I understand that crashes and freezes have become more frequent recently. I appreciate the feedback and I understand the frustration. I want to apologise for any disappointment we have caused.

I understand a lot of you have tried extensive troubleshooting but problems persist. If you have not done so already, could you please reach out and create a case through the Ubisoft Support website? Also, when doing this, could you please attach your System Files? These files will greatly assist our investigation. Once the case has been created, one of our specialists will be able to take a closer look into why this might be happening.

If you are experiencing issues creating a case, please note that we have other social media platforms available where you can also reach out to a specialist. You can find our dedicated Facebook and Twitter support here.

That said, I would like to reiterate that our teams are aware that these crashes and freezes have become more frequent since recent patches. They're actively working on improving the game and trying to fix these problems. If you have already made a case, thank you for doing this, as these system files can greatly assist and speed up our development team's investigations to help diagnose the problem.

If any of you have any further questions or experience any other issues, please do not hesitate to reach back out and let me know.

As with you all, I have been having constant crashes for weeks now. It's really unfortunate that Ubisoft has not properly address (IMO) and resolved this issue by now. I've tried some of the recommendations (pagefile, changing date, etc) that have or may have worked for others, but nothing has worked for me. I get that things happen in life. That's not what upsets me. It's when the issue is ignored with no resolution in sight. That's what bothers me the most. It's like reading an Amazon review and someone gives the product 1 star because they received a defective product. It's ok that you received a defective product. What's important is, did you reach out to the company and did the company make things right by replacing the item. In this particular case I don't feel Ubisoft is doing things right.

@imagolfer Yep, if Uplay had a rating system and we could bombard the game with negative reviews, quite sure they would've had this fixed in a day. Thats why Steam's review system is so handy, we can't tell people that don't own this game yet how broken it is, so these 'devs' just keep making money off a utterly broken product... Ubisoft has taken such a sad turn the past decade

Hi everybody, I always looked to this forum to see if a fix would eventually come, this situation is surreal. I only wanted to ask you something, the game runs smoothly at 30-35 fps, but at certain point it freezes for like 3 seconds, character not moving and if you are shooting the sound of the weapon goes in loop, then it starts moving again. This happens sometimes more sometimes less, always with irregular ranges of time. Does it depend by the game? Naturally the big crash is always behind the corner. Thank you to the one who will answer.

    Hello there!

I'm sorry to hear that you've been experiencing crashes whilst playing The Division 2. Thanks for taking the time to share your reports with us.

As there can be many potential causes behind a crash in-game, these can be tricky to identify the specific cause. You mention that you encountered an error code, @PT_Frizzer. Can you remember what this was? This information will be helpful for further investigation.

Additionally, if you haven't already, I would recommend trying these basic PC troubleshooting steps. These steps help to tackle a number of common causes behind technical issues in-game, and provide us with a great starting point for any additional investigation that may be needed.

    Thanks! 😊

@echolecter The only sort of solution that i found is to change dx back to dx11 and the issue still occurs but at least less often, some times i can finish like 2 activities before it crashes again.

Hey everyone! I just wanted to pop in and let you all know that this is still being investigated by the team, but we don't have any updates to share yet. I sincerely apologize for the delay in getting these crashing issues addressed. We completely understand your frustration with this, and we hope to get you back to gaming soon.

That said, the Reddit thread linked earlier from @WrecK3rr seems to have helped with reducing the crashes for others. If you would like to, I would encourage giving the steps a try. The Reddit post has been updated to include some other fixes that have helped other players too, and it has a helpful video tutorial that was posted above as well.

Here's the link again in case anyone wants to check it out.

I'm crashing multiple times per day. This didn't happen prior to TU15. If Ubisoft isn't going to address this, please just let me know so I can go play something else! So sick and tired of this happening.

No matter what I did it crashes. I even moved it to the same drive as my OS but shocker, it still crashed after 10 minutes. I have tried everything under the sun. The only solution for me is to uninstall it and move on to other games.
