In AC3 Remastered on Stadia: The speech volumes of the main character vs every NPC are totally different. Every NPC is about half the volume.

    It's making the game unplayable.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@thekvd Greetings and welcome to the forums. I'm sorry to see that you are experiencing significant differences in audio levels between NPCs and the main character.

Thank you for sending the video clip. Are you also noticing this behavior outside of cutscenes? In addition, would you share a screenshot of your in-game sound settings so I can better assist?

@thekvd I'm bumping this up. Did a bit of research and it seems the low audio volume for voice output (npcs) was already known in the old Ubisoft forums. And it seems its across all platforms.
I also experience the this issue on Xbox series x. It seems to be related to the dynamic range setting of the game. When I play it on my home theatre system (Dolby Atmos) the dynamic range appears to be large, and the npc are practically not audible. Restarting the game with headphones on improves it a bit but the npcs are still off. I have little hopes the devs fix that issue, given that it is known for a while now. Which is quite a shame tbh. 😞

Hey @Remmi_Demmi, thanks for getting through to us and I do very much appreciate your input there.

After doing some digging around, I can see that this indeed has been brought up in the past, therefore accordingly, I have now collated and forwarded all of the information over to our development team accordingly.

Should we require any additional information for reproduction purposes, we may update the thread accordingly.

Until then, goes without saying - apologies about the inconvenience this may cause and if you do have any further queries or run into any other difficulties, feel free to reach out at any time!
