    @luigi_kawaliere Our computers are not the problem, but the game itself and Ubisoft. The last update ruined everything and they are not doing anything about it.

    I played the game last year and i had no problems playing it . But for some reasons - i stopped playing the game. For that time , that i was not playing , i upgraded my PC.
    Yesterday , i wanted to continue my progress and after installing it to my PC - it wont start . The game is showing me the logo of AC Valhalla , but it is freezed on this position for 1 - 2 min and after this - it shows me to send the crash report or do nothing .
    I preinstall the game 3 times, check the files of the game - 5 times and still nothing. Even i upgrade the drives with the newest one - and still not working .
    My PC Configurations are -  Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900 CPU @ 3.10GHz  3.10 GHz with 32 GB Ram.

    Same problem, game crashes sometimes 5 minutes after playing or even at main menu after launching the game..

    When the game came out I was playing it without any single crashes on RTX 2080 Ti, 9900K, 850w PSU and Windows 10 20H1

    Now I have 12900K, 32GB, RTX 3090 and Windows 10 21H2 and I also changed my monitor from 1440p to 2160p (4K).

    I think issues started with patch 1.1 or 1.2 in February 2021

    I tried everything, ALL other games runs stable, even Cyberpunk 2077 with RT at Ultra, Days Gone, Shadow of TR, there might be some stutters sometimes, but never crashes.

    I disabled all background apps, tried 10 and 8 bit colors for my display, disabled Gsync, HAGS, Rebar, yet nothing helps..

    Origins and Odyssey run fine (2 crashes in like 200+ hours), even if CPU was at 100% all the time probably cuz of the Denuvo - in Valhalla CPU usage is around 50% yet game is very unstable.

    I also play Breakpoint in 4K with maximum settings - no crashes! Valhalla is probably badly written for DX12, as Odyssey, Origins and Breakpoint are DX11 games..

    Or particular version of Denuvo Valhalla is using causes those issues?

    I do a test to another PC
    Core i 7 7700K
    RTX 2070 Ti
    32 GB Ram
    SSD Samsung
    Win 10 fresh installation and uptaded
    Last nVidia driver
    No overclock
    No app in background
    Still doesn’t work and crash after spalsh screen.
    I installe ACO and work fine, I tested with other games and work, only ACV have issue 🤬

    @lukensen87 i checked taskmanager and when i started ACV, i looking cpu go to 100% at splash screen load, and after little secon crash 🤬

    I was experiencing some crashes recently. Unfortunately I decided to do a verify/repair. Valhalla has gone from the random crashes here and there while playing the game, to now I can't even get into the game. It either crashes immediately after that initial little box comes up. Or it gets past the "Created by diverse team..." and AMD splash screens and crashes. So I am now completely unable to play this game.

    • Have you been able to complete our basic PC troubleshooting guide?:
    • Yes, Windows is updated, latest NVIDIA drivers from just a few days ago, blah, blah, blah.
    • What are your system specs:
    • (CPU/GPU)? i7-4930k Hex-Core, 32GB RAM, NVidia GeForce 2060 RTX
    • Have you been able to play the game without experiencing crashes / freezes before?:
    • Yes I was able to play the game with no crashes up until a couple weeks ago. The first few weeks of owning/playing the game, I had no crashes.
    • When did these crashes / freezes first occur? Please be as exact as possible:
    • Not really sure, just a couple/few weeks ago they started popping up, and then continued to become more and more frequent. After do the verify/repair, I can no longer even get into the game.
    • Have you made any recent changes to your system, such as updating your Operating System or installing new software?:
    • No. Valhalla is the most recent thing I've installed.
    • Are there any specific triggers for these crashes / freezes? For instance, do they happen when launching the game, or during a loading screen?:
    • It was rather random before. Now it's on launch since verify/repair files.

    Thank you for posting your CPU and ram specs, these are well above system requirements for the game, but it would also be good to know what kind of drive you have the game installed on and what your GPU model is if you can let us know, to get the full picture?

      • I get the small splash screen in Windows, but as it's trying to load the game itself, it just falls over and gives me an "oops, it crashed" message and an option to send a log file (which I have been doing).

Sometime i g et in game and as soon as i move it crashes. Sometimes it gives me 10 mins. Theres nothing in the background interfering ITS AN ISSUE WITH YOUR GAME.



    Im getting fed up with the constant bs from support. It is not an issue with my pc as other current gen games have absolutely zero issue running. It IS an issue at your end, wether it be shoddy game code or the ubi connect client. I've essentially been sold a defunct product and been told 'oh its your fault' as is always the case. Take some responsibility and actually fix your bloody game

    Yes I ran into the same issue when giving administrator privileges to acvalhalla.exe and acvalhalla_plus.exe. It will just hang infinitely on the startup AC logo splash window.

    @lordof3ntr0py I had the same problem of Valhalla crashing hard (during looking for add-ons).

    Maybe try an uninstall/install cycle? The verify files seems broken.

    My case:
    Windows 12 is updated, GPU drivers are the latest. Other games runs fine.
    Tried cleaning out the "Documents/[censored]* Valhalla" folder but that did not work.
    Then I instead uninstalled Valhalla, and reinstalled it again, 70GB download ... and now it worked again!
    As the "verify game files" function did not catch what was wrong, there must be a bug in that method of code. It would be great if this could be fixed so next time something is corrupt, I don't have to reinstall the entire game again! At the same time why is not all files opened in read-only mode, that should minimize the risk of corrupt files!?

Answer : I did all in troubleshooting guide and it's still stuck at the AC logo splash screen ( before the warning massage )
    • What are your system specs (CPU/GPU)? Answer :  i9-9900 CPU @ 3.10GHz  3.10 GHz / Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Aero 8 GB Windows 10 Pro
    • Have you been able to play the game without experiencing crashes / freezes before? Answer : Yes - i had no problems after several patches or adding new events of the game .
    • When did these crashes / freezes first occur? Please be as exact as possible. Answer : The first time i experienced the freeze is before 3 days , when i wanted to continue playing the game after several months not played it .
    • Have you made any recent changes to your system, such as updating your Operating System or installing new software? Answer : Yes. I did several changes to my OS - changed the hard disk with the SSD , put more RAM in my PC - from 8 to 32.
    • Are there any specific triggers for these crashes / freezes? For instance, do they happen when launching the game, or during a loading screen? Answer - At first after installing the game via Ubisoft launcher - the game verify the files and showing me the AC logo and stayed that way like 2 - 3 mins. After that the games launches and showing me the warning massage . And after 1 or 2 min staying that way - the game completely crashes and showing me to send the crash report or not to do nothing .

    Hello,

    As mentioned in the topic, since 2 days I can't start Valhalla - it's impossible for me to get pass below splash screen.


    Until yesterday everything was working perfectly fine and right now there is no possibility to launch the game.
    Anticipating the questions:

    • my drivers are up to date
    • there is no problem with connectivity (for example FC6 works perfectly fine)
    • Windows is also up to date
    • I reinstalled entire game + verified files, did not help
    • running as an Admin also does totally nothing


    I see that there is a couple of topics with info that ppl are not able to run the game, could I ask for an explanation? When will I be able to use purchased product again?

    @et4hiel I'd check event log and see if there's anything logged there in relation to Valhalla.

    Hi, I continue to have issue without a really solution from Ubisoft Teams.
    I installet ACV to 2 different PC with same hardware, one of this have new fressh installation of windows 10 update at last version, withouth other apps/software, only drivers.

    • Have you been able to complete our basic PC troubleshooting guide? Yes!
    • What are your system specs (CPU/GPU)? i5 7400,16gb 2333mhz and RTX 2060 Ventus
    • Have you been able to play the game without experiencing crashes / freezes before? No, since i bought the game on november i experience severe crashes after update, i get a freeze of 1 second then it crashes to desktop, in event I don't have any issue.
    • When did these crashes / freezes first occur? Please be as exact as possible. When i start ACV, after splash screen it chrash immediatly.
    • Have you made any recent changes to your system, such as updating your Operating System or installing new software? No. Besides Valhalla is the only game that i have this problem.
    • Are there any specific triggers for these crashes / freezes? For instance, do they happen when launching the game, or during a loading screen? Always Crash without start.
