The downfall of all AC games is the lack of challenge. This game has made some effort with the difficulty slider which is a great step forward for the franchise.
However even on Nightmareish it still feels casual.

Players have to resort to ignoring HP power skill benefits, not upgrading gear and turning HUD off to make it harder. But unfortunately this makes the game boring as character development with aesthetics and gear is at the core of any RPG. There is no reason to play it like a stealth game because you can single-handedly charge in and kill everything without a scratch.

The solution seems to be, having a difficulty slider that allows players to adjust the amount of Skill Power enemies are above Eivor. And even a slider to adjust parry time down to personal preference.

I really love these games but they become boring and repetitive when you don't have to try. Please help this gameplay issue.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@jackjack_10 Not hard enough, eh? Try stripping your Eivor of all gear and fighting enemies bare-fisted on the highest difficulty and level scaling settings.

If that’s not enough, you could always remove all abilities as well and make Eivor fight completely disadvantaged.

Edit: I just realized that you could also reduce Eivor’s Power to 1 as well for maximum pain.
